I know it’s such a common trope in romantic fiction but the idea of storming off out of someone’s house for no reason seems completely baffling to me, like it’s not even a fight from their perspective they were answering a question about their past and the person suddenly shouted and bolted out the house, I’d be very weirded out

Funny enough, she could have easily inquired about Misaki by asking "Hey, did you know a girl named Misaki during your time in middle school ? My sister started hanging out with that girl from Maria, and while she seemed nice, I wanna make sure."

Well, this time, the story does adress that for the other party, she just suddenly got up and left for no reason. Not only the author realizes the weird part of that, the character is self-aware enough to realize it. So it's likely written to look awkward rather than just dramatic.

Feels like they're already broken up, based on that discussion. She doesn't even call him her BF anymore and the friends were setting up a meeting to get them back together. Seems like he got the (silent) boot after their last issue. Would he even be upset? They didn't seem too close to start with, so I wonder if they'd even bother. Plus as long as wing woman Yui is onboard I don't think MC cares as much about the others.

That was an interesting bit, yeah... Felt like we were missing a part of the story there, but if they're really no longer together, that can only be a good thing, of course.

A few points in order of personal importance:

Despite how quickly she turned from heel to face being a bit of a whiplash, big fan of how open she is about it and especially her decision to open up to her friend.

Big fan of the friend's response and supportiveness, even bigger fan of her actual best friend responses™. That "eat shit and die" was bond-stronger-than-steel type response.

That said, something got into my head that Yui is also a potential love rival in disguise and I'm having trouble shaking off that angle lol.

That final panel was top-tier friends banter, but also Kaidou is ruthless. Can't really think of anything other than "eat shit and die" to respond to that lol.

With how many times they said "it's mutual" I'm worried that shit's gonna happen. I have trust issues. Though I don't expect things to go too badly either way.

Her face isn't her only good trait.

I think Kaidou should clear the air with Shouya, because it's mean to just ghost someone even when you're breaking up.
I do think their "Friends" are strangely invested in their relationship. To a disturbing degree.
