This is a story about a zombie apocalypse. Like kickap00 correctly pointed out, it would have been extremely lame for that to be the way she died.

The signs were too explicit for it to just coincidentally not be a stroke. What I think (added onto the theory that Eko is a carrier for the virus, thus possibly being the point of contagion to Miya) is that the virus is what caused the stroke. Because yes, this is a zombie apocalypse manga.

But that's too coincidental to not be a death by stroke. It may be an additional defense mechanism from the virus as insurance that the host's body will die and can be taken over, or it may be that everyone who's bitten and/or infected (and isn't immune to the virus) dies to a stroke.

We know biting is a point of contagion in most zombie stories, and it is in this one too. There's this underlying assumption that someone bitten just eventually kind of turns into a zombie, though. In reality, it would make much more sense for the virus to eventually cause a stroke - and freely take over the host body since it's now dead - than some non-descript "turn" mechanism. The virus can't take over living bodies, so it has an explicit mechanism for killing them in case they didn't die of blood loss.

Cute. Yeah, cute text with horror subtext, but the text's hella cute. It's also nice to see how the senpais do actually seem to love each other - the yandere's a given, but the other was going mhehehehe after yandere was saying embarrassing things in public, which was kind of sweet.

...I have a strong feeling that the box cutter loose thread wasn't resolved at all, though - or rather, that it wasn't resolved in a satisfactory or proper way. Call it foreboding, but after the shock of last chapter, I can't shake this feeling of dread... the cover's super heavy in tone as well...

But Honda knows what Masaki's like. She knows what Michi's like, she knows what Masaki's been like with Michi, knows entirely that Masaki will take advantage of Michi to hurt her. Honda is the character described by word of god as having a maxed charisma stat. Abandoning Michi to this because she's too cowardly to face Masaki is unconscionable. Abandoning Masaki the first time is only more forgivable because she was younger.

The bullying was so absurd it completely took me out of the story. Even setting aside the surreal idealisation of the president (which is such an overused trope in yuri that I've reached the point where I just skip any panels like the last one here), harassing someone to the point of threatening them with a cutter just because they forgot some flower arrangements? In what world would that ever happen?

I'm nearly positive this was wholly arranged by the vice-prez. Not the initial bullying, no, but the box cutter part? Absolutely.

Somehow I missed the fact that this finished years ago. Just finished binge reading. Ch10 is drawn so beautifully, it's just so lovely.

I would've liked a few more chapters - it does feel like the end's a bit rushed, especially on Akira's side - but what we have right now is nice. And like others mentioned, it was never really meant to be long either.
