I love this as a twist on the usual "third wheel love rival" character introduction, where the rivalry is all of a handful of days and entirely one-sided because she's already got a girlfriend. Who's the MC's little sister.

I know it’s such a common trope in romantic fiction but the idea of storming off out of someone’s house for no reason seems completely baffling to me, like it’s not even a fight from their perspective they were answering a question about their past and the person suddenly shouted and bolted out the house, I’d be very weirded out

it's so strange and would have to be really fast for it to make any sense
Yarai gives me a feeling similar to Azusagawa Sakuta in Aobuta, very socially aware but doesn't give a single fuck about opinion of people who she doesn't care about.
