What a cute series! I love the concept of an otaku who became a Gal just to live out her own "Gal who is kind to otaku" fantasies.

Oh, the meeting with the mom should be fun. I know Suuna told her mom earlier on that she's "Sefure" with Ruka, and I can't remember if Suuna ever clarified what she thought the term meant. If the mom is still under her initial assumption, it should make for an interesting interrogation conversation. XD

Excited to dive into another Sakuragi Ren series! Curious to see what direction this series ends up taking.

I think I'm with Kase on this one, maybe for the first time in the sequel series, lol.

Yamada may not have quite hit her breaking point yet, but she was heading there in a hurry. I can't really fault Kase for being a bit short with Yamada, between getting stood up and realizing that her rushing to make the competition would just be furthering her exhaustion. Sometimes a bit of tough love is what it takes to get through to someone you care about.

The mint dying is probably the biggest indicator of how dire things are. Those suckers are hardy. XD

The mom is a real piece of work. If she doesn't like being made out to be the villain all the time, maybe she should try not acting so villainous!

Ah yes, the most powerful magic of all: copping a feel. I was definitely not expecting this to go in that direction at all. XD

Still no idea what the hooded figure's deal is, but it seems like she wants Nana to fulfill her role as a saint. Based on the way this chapter went, it would seem like her best bet is just to work on setting the right mood for her and the princess, lmao.

Wow, I expected her to outwardly maintain the tsundere act for longer. It's cool that she has a supportive friend to confide in.

This chapter felt like a final chapter. The fact that it's not, gives me a weird sense of foreboding, like we're seeing the calm before a really big storm.

Well, that was certainly one of the endings of all time.

Hinata is so great. Just a wonderful, hyperactive bundle of positivity.

Yeah, it'd be nice if Yamada just said no, but we all know that isn't going to happen.

Would be a great sign of character development if she did though.

Cute little extra! I'm guessing that "something she wants to focus on" is related to the recent Season 2 announcement for the Ayaka is in Love With Hiroko live-action.

From that dream, my guess is that Karin is the reincarnation of Hiro's mom.

Either way, it's a pretty awkward situation for poor Hiro: either your crush is in love with your dad, or your crush is actually your mom.

I know this series' whole thing is basically going with typical yuri and romance tropes, and cranking them up to 11, but could we not have maybe waited a chapter before introducing the absurd love rival? I feel like it completely spoiled what could (and should) have been a really moving confession.

I think this may be the first series I've seen where the ever-ubiquitous pick-up artists, that always seem to show up in romance manga, were women.

I also loved Nagi's reaction, basically being like "Oh well, of course I'm getting hit on because I'm so awesome. What can you do" and the trope subversion with her dad being supportive was really sweet too.

Hooray, an update! Nice timing too, with the recent license announcement.

The backstory continues to add to Ami's character. And apparently shamelessness runs in the family; I couldn't imagine being a parent who comes back home just to beg their high school child for money.

The scene at the end is also interesting. I'm getting the impression that this is all some kind of messed up "test" that Ami's putting Rei through. Like she's acting really awful to intentionally try and drive Rei away, and Rei realizes and is calling her on it. Certainly doesn't make what she's doing right or healthy, but it does make for an intriguing story. I also wonder why the friends keep going along with it? Surely they must have some awareness of what's going on between Rei and Ami, and ought to know well enough to politely excuse themselves?

I loved this chapter, and have been waiting for something like it ever since the series started. The setting for this is so unique and cool, but it really dove right into the action immediately, and this is the first time it's really let up. I'm hoping this slowdown continues for a bit more, so we get more cool lore like we got this chapter, and also further development of the two leads.

Woo, new series by Sal Jiang! Off to a nice start already. Presumably the woman in the last panel is the Jirai-ke girl from the title art, and also the main love interest. If so, I'm excited to probably see what her deal is next chapter.

One thing I enjoyed about her previous series, Black & White and AyaHiro, is that they featured noticeable shifts in plot direction and tone around the end of volume 1/beginning of volume 2, and it was fun to see the transition. I wonder if this will follow the same pattern, and if so, what direction it's planning to go in.

Wow, I was not expecting her to just come right out and say it. The contrast of the beautiful full page of Ruka's admission, contrasted with Kohaku's expression on the next page, was pure gold.

Miyako finally comfortable enough with Pakee to joke around about it. That's real character development right there. XD

Also, dang Ruri. Not content with just being a breadwinner, she's gonna found an entire company for the purpose of employing her GF. What a flex.

I loved this series a lot. Overall very cozy and wholesome, and I adore Yodokawa's art, especially the way she draws expressions. I can't wait to see what she does next. She mentioned in the volume 1 afterword that this series came about because she wanted something with a relaxed vibe after getting burned out doing her prior series, and I'm curious if she's going to continue with this kind of easygoing story, or if she'll pivot again to the opposite side of the spectrum.

Also, a reminder that the series has an official English release from Yen Press, with three volumes out so far!

Somehow missed this one when it was first uploaded, but I'm excited for another Amazaki Suika series! Her recent Cabaret girl one was great, and I'm liking the vibe of this first chapter already too. I'm curious if this is going to be a full series, or just a limited one volume serial like the Cabaret girl one.

Oh hey, this made it on here! It's funny, I don't actually like watching live basketball very much, but stories about basketball are consistently some of my favorite sports stories, and this series is no exception to that.

Speaking of which, what's the Sukeban manga that ended they mentioned in the credits page of chapter 42?

The title's name is Sukeban and Transfer Student, which has a few chapters on here uploaded under the name it had when it was a pixiv series: A Delinquent, A Transfer Student, and Their Silly Little Game.
