I like to think the black haired girl isn't actually crushing on anyone. She's just an intense yuri shipper, and she's going to be distraught when she realizes she might be breaking up her OTP.

Yeah, I also suspect that Hario has seen through what's going on between Ema and Takara. The timing of this conversation, and the way he sought her out, seems to point to that.

I think he probably will confront her, but not in an accusatory "back off" kind of way; that really doesn't seem like it would be his style from everything we've seen so far. I expect it to be a more indirect thing along the lines of "I'm prepared to support her no matter what. Can you say you're prepared to do the same?"

Wow, it's been a hot minute since I've read something with a character as punchable as the dad here.

GL live action has made some ground recently. I wouldn't have guessed this one would get picked up, but I do really like it. The most recent I'm aware of is Even Though We're Adults and s2 of AyaHiro so this one is definitely a different tone.

Also "She Loves To Cook, She Loves To Eat" had 2 seasons I believe. Wish we could get these on Streaming in the West...

AyaHiro at least got an official worldwide English release through GagaOOLala. I wish more JP live action dramas weren't region-locked though. Or better yet, if they took a cue from Thai GLs and just uploaded episodes to Youtube. AFAIK, there aren't even any groups doing fansubs for the live action for this series, which is a bummer because the PVs looked fun.

That conversation about how Kasumi assumed their "make-believe" would have to end when they graduated, only for their meeting with the senpais to show that things really can keep going, was really great.

It makes no sense, but part of me kind of wants to see Ayumu and the childhood friend get together. It would make for a great rivals-to-lovers arc. The childhood friend does seem to be paying an awful lot of attention to her...

Tamamusi continuing to deliver. I feel like in any other harem series, the protagonist would have been left embarrassed and sputtering at Kaoru's proposition, but here, Mei is given an opportunity and she just immediately jumps on it. XD

I'm wondering what's actually going on though, because I have a hard time believing one of the main girls is about to be written out of the series.

Very fun and cute series.

I was surprised this was the last chapter, as it felt kind of abrupt, though given this was a very episodic slice-of-life series, I'm not sure what kind of ending would have felt more suitable.

Author is cruel to leave us hanging with last chapter's cliffhanger! T_T

This was a very sweet chapter though. Haruyo's expressions continue to crack me up. Although based on the last chapter, and the ominous note on the title page, I suspect the next half-chapter won't be quite so wholesome.

Feels like we just went over the peak of the initial rise of a roller coaster, and now things are about to get wild. And I for one, am strapped in and ready to be taken on a ride.

I'm with Rena on this one. There's something weirdly compelling about shameless scumbags. Most terrible people make excuses, lie, or pretend to be nice, so it's oddly refreshing when someone is kinda trashy and just owns it.

This screams angst but also a happy ending, interesting start so far, really beautiful characters too! :)

I mean, they also wrote The Girl I Want is So Handsome! which is so sugary sweet that reading it is liable to give you cavities, so I'm not sure we can really draw any conclusions about the type of ending just from authorship. Yuama has a broad range :D

I enjoyed this first chapter a lot. Seems like it'll have the sort of angst that really appeals to me, so I'm looking forward to more.

My sense is that the focus will be on Hase mentoring Nekome, with Hase getting new perspectives on her relationship with Morio and Nekome maturing and gaining control over her own life. Right now I'm guessing that Nekome will not end up with Shiratori.

This is pretty much my read on the series so far as well. From seeing some of Yodokawa's posts on social media, I get the impression this will mainly be a comedy drama series, without much in the way of the typical romance story beats.

Nice timing on the release as well: I watched the final episode of season 2 of the live action earlier today, then got to read this adorably sweet epilogue chapter. It's been a good day.

Oh, the meeting with the mom should be fun. I know Suuna told her mom earlier on that she's "Sefure" with Ruka, and I can't remember if Suuna ever clarified what she thought the term meant. If the mom is still under her initial assumption, it should make for an interesting interrogation conversation. XD

Excited to dive into another Sakuragi Ren series! Curious to see what direction this series ends up taking.
