I don't like this manga anymore. It started so good but it's just frustrating at this point.

Yuzu deserves SOME kind of punishment for that deflection. Saying “I want you” is basically a confession, so idk how she could hear that and go “Nah, can’t get my hopes up”

It seems like the kouhai is gonna push them two together, but this is fr the first time where I’d rather see the rival actually pursue the MC or at least fake date or the kouhai openly flirting with Minami or smthn

I feel like Yuzu is only saying she’s fine with being just friends cuz she’s never seen Minami in a relationship with anyone, so it don’t think she’s ever been put in a situation where she really needs to hold back or that makes her regret being a GOD DAMN coward

Status quo will remain, no matter the cost! Chapter 28 is the finale btw. So we really stalled till the end.

now that we know its ending so soon this all feels like such a waste of time lmfao, like yeah they're gonna finally kiss on the second-to-last page and walk off together holding hands weeeee. like what is the story even worth if the entire thing was just about getting to the end right? if it was always gonna end at a confession aren't you just writing as much random shit to put it off and extend your publication as long as possible? this is probably just indicative of the much larger problem of the manga industry but my god it's really peaked here. what are we doing anymore

Yeah this "will they won't they" is now just being needlessly prolonged. I honestly hope Mimami just drops Yuzu and gets with someone else at this point, the kiss rejection was pretty firm so it'd serve her right.

I think they just have an initial interesting premise with no plan outside of that and don't know what to do beyond it. This has been an attempt to maintain the starting premise/hook no matter what it costed.

At this point I regret giving it another opportunity and see if the manga redeems itself, but no... You can't just pull such BS to streched-thin it like gum. I noticed that in this chapter 26, ALMOST happens what I hoped should happen in the manga to save itself, I wrote my ideas in this comment section on page 26 (Coincidence, I don't think so :) ).
Then the author HAS the balls to put an interruption to the "confession" moment, AGAIN and in the very NEXT chapter, where the BIG confession attempt failed! Which to all of a sudden, Yuzu behaves something like a psychopath to me, acts like that's how they are but they are not, only to get what they want, rejecting her more than once, now not letting her go when she wants. All of that with such a composure that you cannot think she is sane, at least to me it feels like that, Just to say that "this is not the Yuzu I have been reading the whole manga".
So if the author feels like this Yuzu is needed , then I hope Minami is true to her words, and rejects Yuzu this time and make her wish come true, to be BFF as she wanted from the start, so they learn something valuable on their life (since the manga already went to dark topics), and gives something of an apology, and a last real resort, to readers to make the manga something more of value since it has been losing it from the middle of the serie.
This is a mess, and I hope the readers who bought the manga realize this and communicate this mess to the author. And I won't read more of it, I may check comments here and that's it.

Last chapter, I was like "nah i'm fine with this, they have to confront each other next chapter right?"

Then we get this. Holy fucking shit. What a travesty, needlessly dragging on and ignoring the failed kiss entirely and making every bit of progress feel worthless. And let's be honest, it's not like there was a lot of progress made either. I thought they were going to be introspective by going with Yuzu's POV but instead we just go back to Minami and she gives up without saying anything clearly. What a cop-out. It really feels undeserved if they get together after this, because there's being dense and there's being actively malicious to your own psyche.

I think Kamiya may have just straight up told her. "I asked her out and she turned me down because her heart's set on you." The scene it the classroom kinda feels like Yuzu is finally reevaluating. I think Kamiya has boiled over with frustration just like the rest of us, and has decided to just go full cupid.

I want more of these characters and it would be beautiful to see them actually in a relationship, or double dating with friends! Resolving all their insecurities!
