It's always been a bit ridiculous. Remember the early silent second MC chapters (otherwise known as the "mysterious Yuzu" chapters, as b58 called them). It kind of improved for a bit but it's gone back to being very mechanical.

The characters don't act like real people. That happens in every story to some extent but normally the writer can mask it. Here you can constantly feel the writer kicking the ball down the road, hence the comments. People don't like when the mechanics are obvious and/or repetitive. This story has a lot of both.

This is really getting stupid and should have wrapped up 20 chapters ago. I feel like we have better stuff to read and they have better stuff to draw.

I think the reaction technically does make sense (and technically right is the best kind of right :P) because at this point in the story Minami and Yuzu are still "super friends who do kisses on the cheek and sleep with each other", it's very easy to forget how ridiculous it is (but well, that's part of the comedy). She also had to somehow rationalize to herself what does "I want you" mean but she had like 5 seconds so I'll forgive that, as long as she explains her thought process in detail in the next chapter because it would be very funny.

Yeah, you are right, this is both a problem with the same gag being overused, and seing the author pulling the strings rather than feeling the characters are real (it can be a comedy while still having believable characters).

Even if they get together during next chapter, it won't even be enjoyable at this point.

... I'm a bit confused why people are freaking out. She's been in love for a while and rejecting her feelings because she felt she has already been rejected. So it's only natural that once things are changing, she doesn't just accept it outright as the most natural development, she's confused and worried.

Minami went for a kiss twice in 24 hours, said "I want you" and Yuzu still thinks it's "impossible". You really have to do some insane olympic level mental gymnastics to come to that conclusion.

This is going to generate more confusion because Minami is getting a very clear "I am not interested" signal here. Sigh.

Yeah that would definitely salvage it a bit and could be funny. I'm really hoping it doesn't go the expected route where she thinks of it as a rejection and then we're many chapters with another misunderstanding. Although having someone push away your kiss would rightfully make you assume you're rejected.

My reaction after stalling on this manga a dozenish chapters ago but still checking the comments to see how it's progressing.
