I’m... really not sure how I feel about the ending. On the one hand, the “fuck it” vibe is kinda fun, but... it doesn’t carry the verisimilitude that the previous ones do. It breaks the feeling that this is happening or could be happening, and gives me a lot of narrative whiplash. It doesn’t feel like really any kind of resolution to all the more complex things going on in this manga, and it’s not really satisfying in any way—it certainly is the furthest conclusion the silliness of the manga could go to but seems like it drops everything else. I almost get the impression that the author is mocking me for taking this series as anything beyond sexy silliness, and that’s a sour note to end on in my opinion. Maybe it was rushed or something, but even still I’ve seen better endings to cancelled series. Honestly kind of ruined this series for me—I still feel like it does a lot of great things, but it’s not the masterpiece I thought I was going to get. I’m very disappointed.

I liked the ending, but I don't know about the build up. It felt like I was in a car driving lost, in circles then all of a sudden it veers out of the circle and we ended up where we wanted to be.
