There were some great facial expressions this chapter, but I think Aya's at the end takes the cake. It's super complicated and a bit conflicted; you know she's feeling something, but I'm not sure what it is and I don't think she knows either. I can't wait to see where this goes.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but there are many chapters that directly follow each other like this; there's usually a bit of a time gap between one ending and the next starting, even if they're in the middle of something important, right?

There have been a few that were direct follow-ups such as during the whole deal with Mitsuki giving her concert ticket to the friend Aya got into a fight with. Assuming volume 2 which was recently announced contains the same amount of chapters as volume 1, there are three chapters left to go in it and thus the author might be building up to a bit of a climax with that in mind.

times kind of mercurial in this one. if it's on one story thread or something important is happening the chapters will often string together as long as they need to but then often when a story beat finishes there can be actual time skips of weeks or even months. sometimes chapter to chapter there can be little time gaps but it feels like just the next day or entirely undefined.

I have to wonder if this is a kind of reverse Jim Morrison reference.

I found a physical Japanese copy on display and I've been giggling and kicking my legs ever since I'm so glad I have it!! And it's so cool that it was a featured book , on display next to other manga with running anime and other really popular ones (was at a Japanese book store in the states). My girls ;v;

It's nice to see that Aya can have Koga lying in her lap (even if it is after an accidental fall) and not instantly turn into a complete mess, unlike what would have happened at the start of the story (IMO).

It's probably the closest we'll get to these two dumb-dumbs actually holding each other unless Mitsuki gets a clue and turns the suave to 11, which I'm pretty sure she's incapable of doing manually.

I'll take it, though! Aya just looks so happy! But she's saying she doesn't want to keep Mitsuki's song all to herself. She wants to share it with the world. Which probably means waiting for Mitsuki if she travels abroad. This is her answer.
