2013 Naegiri??? Real OGs...

Definitely didn't expect this, and with no ship tags either, I had no idea what I was about to read when I clicked in. But I'm absolutely biased; Naegiri was one of my favorite ships for a long time, so this was lovely and sweet. Setting it in that nebulous, hopeful time between the finale and actually leaving the school is a fun choice. Though I was surprised, this doujin brought back a little bit of sadness to me- that thought that they'll never remember if they were just as close before the time skip. Maybe he's seen this side of her before, but will never know... That's something I haven't thought about in years, lol

Am I right in thinking that the subtle change in the letter sign off was first some sort of "see you around" type farewell, while the one she decided on was "Sayonara" which implies a true ending? Like she was staying ambiguous at first, then decided to commit to ending it entirely
I'm pretty sure that's what is going for, but it's one of those things that sound similar enough when put in english I just wanna make sure if I'm picking up on the nuances
But yeah I liked this one. Everyone's a mess, I dont like how it ended up, but idk it's fun to see a story where you can see the bed each of them made, and have to wonder how they'll feel when they finally lay in it. Like a 7/10

Curious, is "Anata" her name, or is she left unnamed? I know "anata" can mean "you" but I haven't heard it as a name before. Agreed with the comments above, I would love to see more from this artist; the soft rendering is so nice ;v;

Oh that [END] is devastating, especially since I had read the chapter prior to it being confirmed and was quite compelled by the lineage of these pseudonyms. What it means to be "Hanako Shimura", if the name means the role, if these names were all once real girls before, or if they are supposed represent some kind of ideals- is a shame it's now just an unanswerable mystery at the end of a series gone too quick.

Tbh I was fine with the pacing. The drama was quite undramatic, but also it felt in line with the concept; the stakes are only high to the girl that the task was hyper-specified for. But yeah. Was real excited to see all of the chapter translations going up back to back, so thank you to the translators for bringing this to us until the end

No but the "roommate" thing did make me a bit concerned because I remembered Sumiko-sen drawing adult versions of them where Aya is crying a while ago and I'm like, oh no, is breakup arc real? But looking back at those, they had different adult designs than the ones we have now, so that's probably different timeline/further in the future

Also, since I was just in Instagram to find those, I saw that there was a single panel between the last chapter and the time skip (on twitter as well). For the uploaders, I think that it's technically part of the manga and should probably be included at the start of this chapter, or the end of the last. That single page would make the transition to adult life slightly less jarring, as I think it's supposed to signify "Moving Forward"

The description also says she's a toy designer, which is such a unique and cute job that wasn't hinted at at all in the Prologue (guessing her character is the little pink haired chibis on the cover)

I hope we get scenes of her character "talking" to her, helping her work out her feelings, like a significantly more wholesome Paranoia Agent lol

The reality of them only being a year apart is funny to an outside view because they're making such a big deal about it. But it is a big deal to them, both for their age, and the specific fantasy they were playing out through text.
Also, have been thinking it since chapter 4, but Kasumi's inner monologue is painfully real. The amount of self hatred and depreciation swirling in her, and now I'm sure she feels she has to be the onee-sama on principal now, even though the thought of someone above her gently guiding and reassuring her was what was getting her through the days...

Yeah, ch10 warrants a full re-read for me. I want to see how Kaede's actions towards Ai reflect now that we are keen to her thought process, and her desire to feel anything. Her husband has already clocked that, to an extent I feel; he just took it like her actions was about him and getting his attention. Rather than it always, always being about Kaede.

I really hope at some point Hina starts to catch feelings and just goes full "You can't catch me gay thoughts!" and tries to run all her feelings out lmao.
Honestly very here for this, I already think these mains are delightful. I think this would do well as a shorter premise, though, so I hope it doesn't try to go too long if the "getting together" is the intended ending.

Oh this is gorgeoussss. The inking is so very beautiful, the full shot of Nanna on the stairs is incredible and the scene of her burning was so unexpectedly visceral, I love it all.
Apparently this is a continuation of the story from before the movie was released (which makes sense, because I was confused about when it took place). It was uploaded for online access in 2021, and the artist seems to have vanished since then. Which is so sad, I wanted to see more of this artist's fantastic inking and expression work ;0;

I don't think I've seen that before; she hasn't been reincarnated as another person, she was summoned, but for some reason her hair and eyes are different.
