If this had been translated closer to its original publishing on 2015, let me tell you my Madoka brain would have solidified this as canon so hard, Walpurugisnacht Rising wouldn't have even been able to touch it. The characterizations are fantastic, and I love the time taken to build the scenes with Mami, Kyoko and Nagisa. The author did not want to comprimise woth their vision, even when it amde this an absolute monster of a book, and I respect that so hard. I love the ending, because yeah, if a concept is omnipresent and eternal, she already will have always existed again. So they can take time to enjoy themselves a little longer.

Genuinely can't tell if this got axxed for real, like the last few chapters have been so experimental that can either mean that 1. This is a similarly experimental arc, with the meta framing of it being an unexpected ax or 2. Its actually axxed, and the chapters have been experimental tatle bc sugar has nothing to lose like. They both make sense to me LMAO
but man i actually really enjoy this future, so im hoping for the next chapter. Airi becoming legitimately depressed, losing all interest in any hobbies, obviously not knowing what to do with herself, isolating... its actually heartbreaking how relatable that is? I don't know how this arc will end. With sugar, I wouldn't even be surprised if nothing is fixed, and Airi continues pushing people away. I hope not! But like I truly dont know where we're going from here.

It could be a styalized teary eyes, or nervousness like a sweat drop, but I'm kind of taking it like an extension of the makeup remover she's holding, where her sanity or willpower is being melted away... whatever the meaning is it's just a cool visual

Kaede is a great, manipulative cult of personality who believes everything she herself says with her whole heart. If she ever was putting on a front, that's certainly not how it is now. I'm sure Ai seeing her say everything with such conviction is not helping her be able to leave. The way she talks about the Blue Garnet being inevitable, "why even throw it when it will come right back" so Ai doesn't even try. It's manipulation and Kaede's honest belief.
There's time for my praise to fall apart, but I'm surprised how well this is being handled, and I genuinely don't know how we'll be ending.

Dang, I really was expecting an actual poly ending...? Machino really did genuinely seem to love all of them, but i guess we're seeing now it may be a little different for each. This is probably the first harem ive acrually properly read, though, so idk how these usually go.
If anything, seeming to pair off Luna and Carla makes me doubtful we'll get Luna×Sophia, which i find v sad; Luna being so happy about Machino & Sophia being in love made me feel there was a genuine shot that, if those 3 were a couple, all of them could be (though Aurora was always the odd one out to me if they went that route tbh)
At this point, I feel like maybe the best ending if she cant chose everyone is to choose no one, because while her love is true, and they all know it, she cant keep them all guessing for so long. Though that would be a strange ending for this kind of story, yeah?

Everyone was doomposting so hard at the end of the last chapter I really wasn't expecting a happy ending lmao. Happy to get one!! I'm glad they got to talk about their insecurities for real, and that be the main focus of the ending. I'm not sure if they'll have a romantic relationship in the end, but to me that's a fine ending, because no matter what, I'm happy they're close again; they really seem to be better with each other in their lives. I would love this to get a follow-up volume of these two a figuring out who and what they are.

Also, after the full read, I really do see the title from Mao's perspective instead. Wishing that her envy had just been love and admiration for Nina (whether romantic or platonic). Now at the end, though she might still have those harsher feelings lingering, the love she has can be at the forefront even just a little more.

For a moment, I read the chapter title as "Hot Pants, Body Rolls"... Got that one wrong, lol, but tbf this series as a whole has the same incredible, surreal, insane energy as that music video, so I'd say it still fits (Also the song is "Tight Pants/Body Rolls", so I was wrong from the get-go anyway lol)

Ok, this is one I've been thinking about picking up for a while, but a question for regular readers: is the MC actually even yandere? I read the first few chapters a while ago and she got, like, kinda possessive while drunk, but then literally nothing like that happened again.

Definitely didn't expect this, and with no ship tags either, I had no idea what I was about to read when I clicked in. But I'm absolutely biased; Naegiri was one of my favorite ships for a long time, so this was lovely and sweet. Setting it in that nebulous, hopeful time between the finale and actually leaving the school is a fun choice. Though I was surprised, this doujin brought back a little bit of sadness to me- that thought that they'll never remember if they were just as close before the time skip. Maybe he's seen this side of her before, but will never know... That's something I haven't thought about in years, lol

But yeah I liked this one. Everyone's a mess, I dont like how it ended up, but idk it's fun to see a story where you can see the bed each of them made, and have to wonder how they'll feel when they finally lay in it. Like a 7/10

Oh that [END] is devastating, especially since I had read the chapter prior to it being confirmed and was quite compelled by the lineage of these pseudonyms. What it means to be "Hanako Shimura", if the name means the role, if these names were all once real girls before, or if they are supposed represent some kind of ideals- is a shame it's now just an unanswerable mystery at the end of a series gone too quick.

Tbh I was fine with the pacing. The drama was quite undramatic, but also it felt in line with the concept; the stakes are only high to the girl that the task was hyper-specified for. But yeah. Was real excited to see all of the chapter translations going up back to back, so thank you to the translators for bringing this to us until the end

No but the "roommate" thing did make me a bit concerned because I remembered Sumiko-sen drawing adult versions of them where Aya is crying a while ago and I'm like, oh no, is breakup arc real? But looking back at those, they had different adult designs than the ones we have now, so that's probably different timeline/further in the future

Also, since I was just in Instagram to find those, I saw that there was a single panel between the last chapter and the time skip (on twitter as well). For the uploaders, I think that it's technically part of the manga and should probably be included at the start of this chapter, or the end of the last. That single page would make the transition to adult life slightly less jarring, as I think it's supposed to signify "Moving Forward"
