ngl, the "let's sing the missing idol's song while waving her colour" thing would TOTALLY work IRL as a way for the show going on (as it must).
I just wish the rest of this tale would make a tenth of that much sense. If not for those recaps, I would be lost, more so than "an octopus at a garage", as the Spanish idiom goes...

In the last page, is that a scar or burn scar on the right side of auntie's face?

I don't think so. I think she and the burnt-faced girl of chapter 2 are not the same character.

Damn I check out the novel and this will be a wild ride. I hope I don't spoil too much but I think every yuri fan or people who dislike the title can read this with a peace of mind. It does get pretty spicy though

"Let's practise with this strapon, just in case he likes pegging - whch is totally a normal thing to do on a date".

The dying bird is simply a metaphor, a foreshadowing that their messed-up relationship WILL die

Normally, the overprotective line would be "mi imouto is off-limits". Having it the other way around is... refreshing.

A surprisingly Wholesome chapter.

Her protectiveness is actually so, because she does it for all the right reasons.

This of the kind of dumb as fuck whiplash I can get behind.

Agreed. This started out with people parsing all kinds of nuanced ethical issues, and now it’s just, “These two are either the dumbest fucks in the universe or else playacting some weird sex game, and so let’s gooo!”

Or both.

this manga is so ridiculous lmao at this point i have to believe theres some mutual manipulation going on. either that, or nene is an extraterrestrial transplant with no understanding of human social conduct

Both. It's both.

Both. (Of you are right).

Wow. I mean, I like angst but the levels of fucked-uppery are off the charts in this one.

Yep. 3edgy5me, too.
Besides. this one crosses one of my personal lines.

If she'd moved out to stand on her own but they'd kept in touch, it wouldn't feel like an ass-pull. Or even if she'd reached out after a while. Instead they run into each other two years later, at just the right moment, both still available. Lame coincidence plot.

Fair points, but have two counterpoints:
- They NOT being in contact is actually the key point of the resolution (allow me to quote Jumbo_Senior, "rushed ending but complete resolution"), because Gotou (do we ever learn her first name?) needed to get her shit together on her own, without Reis help; if they had been in contact, that wouls0t have been the case.
- They both being still available is... not a coincidence; is more or less obvious it would be the case. One of them (Rei) is stated to be horribly bad at scoring at lesbian bars- errr, I mean, to have a long history of not finding partners. The other has quite recently discovered she likes women; she still being alone right after a divorce is... quite realistic. Both of them not finding a couple in a while is quite aceptable.
And given the FIRST counterpoint, they finding eact other by sher chance was basically the only "not asspulled" outcome.

They finding each other RIGHT AS THE GIANT TV SCREEN SAYS "OK, YOU CAN MARRY NOW?" I concede you the point, that is the biggest asspulled coincidence ever! :-)

It did end fast, but the mangaka managed to end it properly.

Kinda felt like this one was wrapped up a little too neatly. I would've liked it if they had at least one really messy sexual encounter before getting their feelings sorted.

If they had done that, they'd have ever kept the llngering dout of whether they were together out of mere convenience. Have her sort her life without Rei's help before that happens, even if off-panel, and now there's no such doubt.
This was, plainly, the only possible good ending, the one that the mangaka had planned.
And I even think that making it happen off-panel is actually BETTER than watching it happen.

The one thing that LOOKS rushed is they actually getting together after that, with they talking out how NOW she can actually accept the offer to stay without that doubt - if that option is still on the table, or even maybe proposing herself instead. It could have been a quite interesting scene. Plus the obvious sexy scene - this time without it feeling incredibly wrong. Now THAT I feel was... not the mangaka's best choice not to show.

I'm under the VERY strong impresion that the mangaka is actually familiar with the yuri crush tag and is pulling no punches about it.

I would consider actually adding the tag as a joke, since the mangaka is plainly doing it himself.

It's one of the rare times one goes "what the fuck am I reading?" in a work that doesn't carry thewhat the fuck am I reading? tag.

The only kind of NTR I can enjoy is wacky shit that makes fun of the genre. This fits the bill.

The fact that the MC clearly doesn’t know what “NTR” means is the cherry on top.

Neither did most of the posters of this thread.

Also, did I mention the popcorn? I need to make another bowl, one for the manga, another for the thread, and ANOTHER for the manga again because I have a feeling that we're gonna need more than one.

Boy, some people always just want to look on the negative

Blasts. the only way to find something positive in those two would be stapling a printed copy of R K Milholland 's works to their [CENSORED]
