I really liked this chapter. I like the use of the three stages of drunk Aya in a non-comedic manner. Her exaggerated sadness (immediately jumping to "does she not love me anymore") seems realistic for a drunk person. Mistuki needs to stop being an idiot, of course. Avoiding even looking at her for this long because she felt awkward? Seriously.

Yeah, but let's not forget the fourth stage "clingy bug" is yet to come - if in this stage she gets clingy with Shu ,,, well either Mitsuki will either explode & act, or go into complete shut down.

Going on the trajectory so far, I'm going to guess it's shut down and we will get more chapters of the downwards spiral.

I'd forgotten about this one - many thanks to the Cyan Steam for bringing us these extras and reminding me of the series. Might just have to do a re-read.

Hopefully the darker parts will not get too dark and we will get lots of fluff - really loving the artwork

Just felt that it is worth mentioning that the bar has a corner set up for live music and there's a guitar (Mitsuki previously commented on how expensive looking it was) - got a feeling this is going to come into play here.

Yes. I can see this is going to get interesting as Narita is there as well - hopefully we are going to get Aya and Mitsuki back together, with the resolution to Mitsuki's musical impasse, and also Shu and Rinko hitting it off.

It could be that, due to the oringial peer pressure to do the confession (chapter 1), he never really considered them to be going out anyway - it was all just for show.

Harsh... but it had to be done, as Mitsuki tends to be the one to help others and ignore herself.

In this chapter, all the Japanese sentences between the scenes are actually connected from one place to another.

What the characters say and think is all part of the same stream. In Japanese, the thoughts of Shu and Rinko, the words of Mitsuki and Aya, all connect seamlessly. In line with the title and the theme.

I tried to render that, but I'm not sure it comes through properly in English.

Sumiko puts a lot more work into this than you think.

Yeah like Chizuru, who aside from being one of Aya's besties, was a major supporting character has just vanished. And Hasegawa's disappeared too.

They're in college. Hasegawa's still in high school. They're not gonna be around each other that often.

Chizuru, also, probably went to a school somewhere else. It's what happens when you hit that point in your life. Everybody goes off to do their own thing. Sometimes you keep in touch, sometimes not.

I expect both of them will make a reappearance at some point.

Oh yeah I completely agree that from a real world pov it makes sense. But from a stroy perspective it is weird to me that important characters who had multiple pov chapters are just gone with no comment.

Sure they'll pop up again but would feel better imo if we like saw Chiruzu in the background still working at the shop, or someone commenting on being in touch with Hasegawa about music.

Absolutely with you here, there's a difference between real life and a story - if a character is introduced it kinda odd for them just to drop out with no comment.

I get a little confused where I am when reading this as I have this version here, the LN that I buy on Kobo reader and the Manga (again on Kobo) - and they are all at different points in the story. Makes it fun none the less.
