I can see this going in several ways, but what I would like to see:

Mitsuki needs to establish herself as the band leader (the front person is not necessarily the leader, think Miku from Band-Maid for a Japanese band or Steve Harris from Iron Maiden for a Western band).

However, as an introvert (despite coming out of her shell a lot) I don't think she will do this off her own bat. Therefore Aya will need to step in, in some way.

Hime could also play a part, which I would love to see.

Just based on her vibes from 144 and 147 for now, she strikes me as the resident "stand-offish grumpy cat" who doesn't much like people, getting close to them or getting involved in things. the kind who just finds most things bothersome.

It seems like she's okay when it's easy going and not too loud but gets pushed out of her comfort zone when Aya gets boisterous and too lively, especially as Narita just goes along with it all.

I think it's just a random person who works at the bar. They may just be background scenery, or the first showing of a new character.

As for Hime, it would be nice to see what she has been doing.

Probably reading too much into this, but is Kanna pregnant?? Mitsuki asking about Kanna's health is nothing special, but Joe saying "she's even working" implies that's she's in a state where it wouldn't be expected that she's working.

So... PREGNANT?? Or maybe dealing with a cold or something, but I like the pregnant theory lol

I'd go with weeked - "she's even working today", so implying that she normally works other days.
Also Joe is apologising for disturbing Mitsuki early at 8am - on a week day I would have expected them to be up and about at that time.

This chapter is a really good depiction of new years. Never seen the vibe captured quite like this before.

I think that the time skip is only one year, not two.

Aya refers to two years from the time they were talking about fridges.
They had exams following this and only recently did they do their final exams.
Soooo ... I think there's a year between "fridge" reference and final exams (which the manga covers), which leaves one year of time skip to give the two years total.

I may well be wrong, and please let me know where my thinking falls down if I am.

Something just occurred to me ... it's never been said where Aya is going to be attending Uni.

It could be a long way away - so her promise to look after Joe's "precious niece" may have been made without thinking of the repercussions if the Uni is not somewhere within easy commuting distance.

Really growing fond of Mari. She's got that "try her best" energy, and heavily "not a protagonist" vibes. But I want to see more of her.

That would be sweet, but it would need something more than that to build towards, so I'm wondering if they'd focus on her music or taking care of the store. What other goals do they have that I am missing? Maybe some new issues that come from navigating college/adult life (similar to Kase san)?

Well once college is over they can visit Joe & Kana and get married ... Joe pretty much gave Aya his blessing :D
