I wouldn't say it's certain to end once they each get their feelings across. Mutually Unrequited Twin Sisters still had a dozen chapters after the two mains became a couple.
Not to mention Can't Defy the Lonely Girl, or Anemone in Heat, or (for all its flaws) Citrus and +.
I mean even if this is heading towards the chopping block, I'll say that just being open about this sort of thing is better than trying to hide the fact she remembered. It was a cute and silly tsundere comedy that I don't regret reading. All we need is another kiss in the presumably last chapter and we can call it a day.
Wouldn't Akari technically be a DereTsun? Considering she was a soft character that became prickly

Citrus gets a rap, its just a series that's different than what most people expect it to be
Wouldn't be a Hachiko manga without girls kissing I guess :P A bit thin, like most of that author's work, but it was cute for what it was. Thanks for the translation !
Damn that axe made me kinda sad since I, too, was expecting a lewd development in future chapters. A few more silly “getting used to the new relationship” chapters and Akari might have gotten what she wanted (implied g*x).
Sudden Conclusion. And unexpectedly not painful~.
...and I laughed out loud that first page. An extraordinary secret relationship when even the other party doesn't know about it. Idiot couple indeed.
Well that was the final nail in the coffin. Now I can go back to reading 'How Do I Get Together With My Childhood Friend?' and 'Our Yuri Started With Me Getting Rejected in a Dream' and all the idiot schoolgirl fluff pieces I can't tell apart from this one
