Kinda wished they got the breaking up with the boyfriend done already since he's been such a non-issue, that it's kinda weird they finally brought him back up again in such a serious manner lol.

interesting choice to have a complete background character, the black hair glasses girl just be in several panels all of them either glaring at Mitsuki or so small that you can imagine it radiating in the background.

Black hair glasses girl is the narrator. Watch the dialogue closely. Mitsuki speaks but never narrates.

Oh totally missed that! I'm guessing the black haired girl then has a one sided crush on Mitsuki.

Interesting concept, but yeah im always left wanting a bit more by the stuff written by this author lol.

Overall I liked the story and enjoyed Hikaru and Hana's relationship, but I wished the last 2 chapters focused more on Hikaru and Hana's thoughts/life than on Harutaka's. That's the only meh thing for me. I really wanted to get more into Hana's head!

Thanks for translating this series!

I’m happy to see this being picked up here, because on other sites like Dex it only has about two chapters and has been that way for a while. Hopefully we’ll get to see the other chapters here too. :)

It's a newly released series and it's only been around a month since the first chapter was posted (20 days since chapter 2). I don't think that's long enough yet to be considered "a while" lol.

Basically, what we have here is the typical "Perfect Girl feels empty because everyone loves her -superficially- but no one really knows and/or likes her true self and everyone who said they loved her felt disappointed because she wasn't perfect as they expected and left" with Hikaru being the first to accept her.

I'm such a sucker for this trope so I'm still highly enjoying what this series is putting out and I still love this loser of a woman (like Hikaru ^_^)

Spicy extra! Super nice. Glad to see at least a little more of these two together before officially saying goodbye ;_;

Thank you for the translations and scans! This was fun and woulda been nice to see a continuation of these two. And yeah I def see a lot of similarities to "Breasts Are My Favorite Things in the World!"

If she wanted to write a toxic drama, she should have taken inspiration from Flowerchild or other mangaka well verse in that type. Here, nothing makes sense, to the point it's funny. Which is a bit disturbing somehow for a seasoned mangaka..

Interesting that you think so because I think everything makes complete sense and Ohsawa Yayoi knows exactly the type of story that she wants to write here. I think so far the writing is very tight and every chapter is significant to the plot. She's pacing out the mystery of the mess that is Hana extremely well and I don't think she's trying to make any character here "rootable" or "likeable".

This is also too much for me to make the character believable. I feel like she is just a device plot to keep the story going.

It you can make sense of those characters, well, you can try to light me up. But we are already past the half point of the story, and we have yet to see Hana's point of view, or seing more about their past that would explain Hikaru's obsession with her.

About the husband, saying that he wasn't written to ben likeable or relatable while tons of people are rooting for the het couple on a yuri forum, that's definitely not very honest...

I think that is where we differ in how we see and enjoy the story. You're trying to relate or see realism in these characters, but I'm just seeing these characters as concepts (or as you said, plot devices). Hana and Hikaru are extremely interesting to me because they are on extreme opposite ends in character personalities and it's interesting to see where they will lead the story. They're fun because they're not realistic and relatable.

What's engaging about these characters is the "why". Like why is Hikaru so obsessed with this girl who is 5 years older than her since she was 5 years old? Why is Hana obviously stringing along Hikaru who she knows has been obsessed with her since childhood?

I don't think the author is necessarily making the husband "likeable". He's just the concept of the "loyal, faithful partner" to counter the "dangerous, exciting homewrecker" and those traits are what a lot of people find "likeable". Frankly I find him pretty boring and it's obvious to everyone (even himself) that he comes 2nd in Hikaru's heart. The story is just to see what concept Hikaru is gonna choose in the end.

I like most of Ohsawa Yayoi's stuff and if the quality stays the same for the rest of the series, this will be up there in the top of rankings of her works for me.

I'm reading it as Hitomi and Mikiya are still dating, but now Yuuri has closure after her talk with Hitomi. But maybe it's meant to be up for interpretation.

Oh god im surprised they didnt mention at all how it'd be a bad idea to be filmed by popular streamers while theyre on the run???

This series has been so funny pulling these scenes of dramatic unease, only to have it play out fairly realistically and tamely

Yayyyyy finallyyyyy! Still thought the dragging out of the past few ch was unnecessary, but I really enjoyed the talk Ema had with her friend in the beginning

I love this series. It's SO nice to see a villainess series where it is NOT isekai and the villainess actually kind of keeps some of her bitchy and headstrong personality even after turning over a new leaf. I enjoy the side pairs they're fleshing out right now too. Highly recommended series and I'm glad to see it uploaded here on Dynasty. I have to do a reread of the earlier chapters since this version is a much higher quality translation than what was on Mangadex. Was pleasantly surprised to see you guys redoing the early chapters. Thanks for your hard work!

Back to feeling bad for Nanase...poor girl doesn't even have a single real friend :/

Don't really agree with Yuni's feelings about being praised for "working hard". Just because you were fine with it and weren't reluctant doing the housework doesn't mean you didn't work hard! But again it's something she needs to talk to Nanase about if it bothers her.

We got 2 chapters to get them together again; I'm thinking a lot will happen in the next one. Really fun series. I love their faces still.

Is this ending with the 3rd volume or do you just mean it’s taken two chapters already to get them together? If it’s ending soon, that’s unfortunate for sure since this has been pretty great so far.

It was always planned to be 15 chapters. So, it's meeting that schedule. Author said so. She normally does short series, at least up to now.

oh learning about this just now breaks my heart TT_TT

im gonna miss it when it finishes. definitely one of my favorite series in recent years

I KNEW IT! I knew the author was gonna find some way for them to miss each other AGAIN, but being interrupted by a period was not on my bingo card.... >_>

I think it's interesting how this chapter really drives in how one-sided Io and Misa's relationship is. Misa is constantly trying to do things to make Io feel better and it was nice to see Misa openly vulnerable about her inability to meet Io's expectations at the end. It's adding a lot more depth to their relationship and I'm really excited to see how it'll continue to develop. Hopefully we can see Io taking care of Misa's emotional needs too.

anyone watched the live action? is it worth watching?

Yes I loved the live action drama. It's messy, but fun. Not perfect, but it's a fast watch and a good time. The main actresses are super pretty and have good chemistry with each other. The ending is very wholesome. S1 is better than S2, but just don't take the series too seriously and it's all good.

You just have to keep in mind that this is a rare case of a fully original GL series and it's surprising burst of popularity as it was airing was a step forward for more live action GL in the Jdrama scene.

Omg please this cliffhanger is too cruel. There better not be an interruption next chapter because tbh it is starting to drag....
