i almost passed this chapter over bc of the cheating tag but i'm glad it wasn't the MCs

fun and sweet, the regulars are great.. this is the fun vibe of a story I want more of.

This was interesting. I wasn't expecting the continuation to go this way, but it makes sense given Midori's characterization. She knew Baba was cheating on her for a long time, that was never news to her. And it's also true that her face seems permanently locked into that sort of pleasant smile, so if Baba is one of the few people who doesn't mind that it makes sense she finds it relaxing to be around him despite his...*many* flaws.

Still, this is definitely a unique direction for a romance manga to go. As cute as Kyouko is, Midori is fast becoming my favorite character; I don't think I've ever seen someone quite like her.

Yeah…. I’m seeing so red flags here. This lady has some serious issues.

I wasn't sold on the first chapter, but this one has me kind of interested. Nothing really stands out to me about the characters individually, but the dynamic between love interest lady and her ex is one I've never seen before. No idea where it'll go from here, though.

Err, I think that might be June of last year. I skimmed over the raws not too long ago and there's a handful of chapters out.

Midori has some serious issues with enmeshment, and I do not see how anyone outside of a professional psychiatrist (which Kyouko definitely isn't, even if she didn't have a massive crush on her) can help her sort them out. :-/

I think I already see a pattern in this author's both works - both have these rather unusual relationship setups :P And I actually was wondering if the ex is going to be a recurring character because he's clearly on the cover (along with the brother), so he's not just a throwaway character. I'm interested to see how does this unfold.

ohhh I might like this better than the author's other work titled "With a Lady Who Likes My Sister"
though it's early to say, let's see where this goes, so excited to see when the OL will fall in love to our supportive and innocent cute waitress.

The ex is a cheating piece of junk, but Midori’s maternal feelings have infected me. I hope that he can reappear now and then for some good comic relief

Am I the only one who thinks Midori might turn Yandere? I'm 100% just going off her eyes in the few frames that show her head-on, like the second panel here and the first panel here. They look overly intense, paired with the superficially calm demeanor.
I'm probably jumping at shadows here, but I think it'd be kinda funny if it went dark. I have not read Sinkun's other work and not looked at the raws.

Blech, cheaters are absolute scum who should be kicked to the curb and damned, no exception. They have no consideration for their partner’s feelings and are selfish assholes. Even if the girl didn’t mind the cheating itself (for some dumb reason), it still ended up bothering her, and really throws off this “maternal feelings” excuse she gives for still wanting to be with him. Why the fuck would you still wanna hang around and care for someone who has proven multiple times that they don’t care about you at all? I mean, she took a big step forward and confronted him about his cheating and broke up with him! Then she does a fuckin marathon sprint backwards and goes back to living with him and buying him fuckin cakes? Seriously?

Either the author is pulling a pro gamer move and setting up this woman to be a real looney tune with a red flag on her back so big she looks like she’s cosplaying superman, or maybe they’re trying to treat her as a genuinely well adjusted character and trying to make us look at her like how the protagonist does, like “oh sure she’s a little odd…bUt ShEs JuSt So HaWt I cAnT eVeN!” Considering the author just had Kyouko freak out for a second but then go “oh okay” after she explained her dumbass “maternal” reason for staying with him, I’m pretty sure their intention here is to genuinely try to pitch us this character as believable and someone who DOESN’T have some major problems, even though she clearly does to any casual observer. Hell, even her weirdly calm, kinda yandere-ish vibes that other people have noticed were probably unintentional on the author’s part. But when you make a character that makes fuckin insane choices with stupid reasoning, everything else they do is gonna look crazy too.

Idk, I’m just worried for the direction of this manga. Hope it turns around quick.
