She is probably near sighted (myopic). That is what the "near" means, you see just fine nearby, you only need glasses. It is not odd at all if that is the case. I am myopic and so is most of my family, we usually take our glasses to read, it is actually a bit uncomfortable with them. My mother was very advanced in her presbyopia before she started needing glasses even at short distances.

(also, removing glasses to read is the opposite of what you would expect of someone with presbyopia)

Okay but how about Mitsuki's rare comfy face.

It shouldn't take much for Mao or Chizuru to connect the dots between Aya's strong feelings about music, Onii-san, and Mitsuki.

It's a bit of a trope but it's so true of these school relationships, be it new friend groups or a partner.

I think Chizuru is moping around because in chapter 30 she realized how strongly Aya felt about music but she only really shares it with Mitsuki. In the same chapter, it looks like Aya imagined they'd be dismissive about rock/western music but they weren't really like that. Or if they weren't interested in it, they probably wanted Aya to be more open about her interests rather than hide it.

So she's salty because Aya shares this hidden side with Mitsuki and is now spending a lot of time with her. She is just insecure about their friendship but I reckon she'll get over it once they talk it over.

Do you.guys really want nothing but the empty fluff we have gotten in recent chapters?
This is where the meat of the story is

I don't view character bonding as they grow closer to each other in a relationship focused story as "pointless fluff". For me that IS the meat of a story like this, the drama is just an obstacle to be worked out so we can go back to the fun character bonding chapters.

Personally I'm the same as her. I'm near-sighted and wear glasses practically everywhere except when reading because it's harder to focus and starts to hurt my eyes. It's too zoomed in, almost like being cross-eyed.

Here we go again. Building tension. Great, I love to see it. It's based on insecurities we already knew Mitsuki had and will potentially develop a few secondary characters and their relationship with Aya. I kinda have to wonder what their friendship is, really. We barely know anything other than Aya feeling her music taste doesn't fit. It will be nice to find out.

Hopefully this time it's brought to a conclusion instead of being skipped again. If we have another case where the resolution of the conflict is half-assed off screen, I'm out.

Now the ideal way to handle this is "Hey why don't we tell your friends that we're going out? Then there won't be any problem because they'll be your friends and I'll be your 'boyfriend', right? Win-win??"

I can't help being a tragedy fiend but what I'd like in the near future is a chapter sketching out how Chizuru's dealing with heartbreak.

Oh no, the story about high school kids involves some of the friends feeling frustrated that they're not spending as much time together as they used to. Time to piss and moan about it on the internet because they mildly inconvenienced the romance in a way that will no doubt ultimately advance their relationship.
