"Wait, so you mean telling people I am a prophet and doing things to change how people behave is CHANGING THE PLOT?! How could that be?!"

In a sane world, she'd admit it was just a child being influenced by comics and ask to start from being (childhood) friends.

The friend and her seem like a better match...

I initially thought the friend was the other side in a triangle, but after the end, I am not so sure.

Welp. That was not on the list of things I didn't know I wanted... meh, time to consume the "forget this exists" juice.

Everybody already assumed the childhood friend is doomed. I would like to see a twist the friend winning for once.

Sometimes the childhood friend character wins... but I don't think it will be the case here because tomboy girl bombed it. Any chance she could have had was destroyed the moment she firmly stuck herself into the other girl's friendzone.

She could have done, oh, so many many things. But she did squat zilch. Even worse, when the other girl said she wanted to fall in love with someone else, tb girl was like: "All right, I'll support you!" Ten seconds later, that's exactly what happens: the other girl falls for someone else at first sight... and tb girl is like: "Oh no, my life is ruined!" Wtf, dude?

It wasn't so much "my life is ruined" as "big, dramatic change incoming, status quo is breaking down". For that matter, what exactly are you suggested the alternative to "All right, I'll support you!" is, when the friend is going all "I want me some succulent manflesh"?

When's the wedding? I'll be there

"That won't be happening."

Maybe one day the Dynasty forums will learn that ambiguity and incompleteness have been extremely common themes in Japanese art for millennia.

That doesn't mean they have to like it! lol

Nor does it make it a good thing.

It's kinda cute, but this girl really does come across like "Man, red flags sure are pretty, so attention-grabbing!" given how little she had to go on. Maybe she's a Kodama Naoko fan.

I think it would read better if we got one of those phone calls in the story instead of just having the fact that they talked on the phone told to us?

tbf, it wasn't much of a red flag. She looked depressed, then it turned out she lied about being married, nothing beyond that. Beyond that, she always made time to talk to her and was interesting enough to talk to for her to keep calling back (a pretty face and a moment of curiosity shouldn't be enough to keep her hooked).

Not gonna read this, but the tags are basically a summary of Kodama Naoko as a writer.

This is her blessing, but also her curse.

I heard this as the quote from the gloriously crappy adventures of cuthbert and dante.

I am glad that for once, a person being not okay with things and not being good at them is not treated like a character flaw to be overcome, but simply a part of who they are.

I love that the reason she is wary of going home is that being recognized would be a disaster and a half.

So is the implication that Aya called Kanna or that Mitsuki called Kanna?

Given Mitsuki's reaction, probably her.

Can we not with the third parties?

Somehow I can't trust Erika either. It's nice that she's trying to push Koto to face Aya, but it feels she's doing this more for her own sake than for Aya or Koto. Like she just wants Koto to move on so she can get a chance herself.

Oh no, the horror, she wants her friend to move on from her traumatic experience to have a chance to do something that will not harm anyone. The villain.

I couldn't find this romantic at all. Devoting all of your energy to obtain literal seconds of contact at a door frame with a stranger sure is a perfect metaphor for parasocial relationships.

Yup. I get that the author was going for a mutual attraction story, but if someone were to describe this oneshot without showing the art, it would seem super weird.

It’s love????? Hold on hold on slow down! This is moving way too fast. We need at least another sixty chapters of slow burn before you can start making any rash declarations like that! You’re gonna give your readers whiplash!

We had 58 whole chapters for her to recognize her love for music, it's moving fine.

Well, this didn't solve anything.

No solution really exists. She will eventually grow old and die and her whole life will be like half a year for the elves in terms of lifespan.

Unnecessary incest there but after reading so many mangas for almost a decade, I'm unfortunately growing used to it. Though I do have to admit it makes just a bit more sense for it to happen with them, with the sensory sharing and all but yea, still, not into incest at all.
Aside from that, amazing manga so far anyway :)

No one hid the tag, you saw it upfront.

Anyone got a can of brain bleach to help me forget it for a few years to build up a backlog? Reading this as an ongoing series is as much of an annoyance as any other "muh drama and angst" series and none of the developments so far really entertained me.

Nanjou's conduct conduct with Riri is so weird now considering how clearly she had refused her earlier. I feel like both nanjou and Riri are taking actions that in the end are only going to hurt Riri.

Also in general it's frustrating because the last few chapters are either retconing how strong of a refusal nanjou gave her or completely pointless.

I dunno, it doesn't feel like she behaves strangely. Just because she rejected her doesn't mean she doesn't see her as a friend. And I imagine it can feel rather embarrassing when someone you keep rejecting basically does a repeat of the Jeaney Collects rejection of the rejection letter letter. Riri refusing to accept reality and throwing a prolonged tantrum is not her problem, she is basically in the Dear Teacher situation of waiting for graduation to be able to pursue what she wants without social norms getting in the way.

Ten years later, they are still friends, the nurse constantly tries dating guys to forget Moe, while Moe is angsting matters as one does.

There, your happiness levels are reduced to a safer level, no need to thank me.

I mean, even with that, it's dumb. No one with enough braincells to rub together would take that as anything other than the meaning of the proverb.

Yes, pretty drawings good, but it doesn't mean people have to like the dumbass logic behind them.

Well that was something of a departure from previous chapters, I guess I don't mind but not much happened :P except some fuel for the Hatomori x Ruri ship

I imagine that aside from feeding the fans of that pair, it is also a good way to segway into explaining why Miyako quit being an idol and such.
