That is indeed very surprising. Seemed to be in the middle of some character / "plot" development still.

I've been very fond of these characters, but I've never had a strong sense of what the series overall wanted to be. I haven't re-read the whole thing very recently, so my memory could be off, but it seemed to start out (IIRC) as very episodic slice of life, with fluffy, cozy, relatively unconnected scenes, and with their professional lives as a fairly vague undercurrent to their daily interactions.

Then later it seemed to want to have more defined story arcs with more added characters, but didn't really stick with any of them very long or develop them very fully. I haven't seen that as a major problem, because there was still plenty of cuteness on hand, and I've continued to enjoy reading the story. But I wouldn't say that, to me anyway, it was a series with much momentum in any particular direction.

Regular romance ends with getting together, so manga where they're already together ends with marriage? Makes sense in a way, although considering the kind of story this has been, it really wouldn't change that much. And there are still so many plot lines open...

And yes, it would certainly be nice to see a new major work from the author. The bite-size episodes here have been nice, but I'd definitely welcome a new story with full length chapters.

I guess if you look at it from the way the series is titled, everyone's arcs have "pretty much" been resolved in their own ways. (ie. Ataru's got her feelings off her chest, Kita's figured out who they want to be, and Kyouko and Mirei's relationship just kinda be like that.)

But yeah, I'd be lying if I didn't feel the sting of seeing 次回, 最終回 while translating ch103.

It's not the worst ending, just incredibly boring... plain and sudden, I will remember this series with love, but I'm sure to forget the ending, pick any random chapter and it's going to be more memorable than this.

Adult yuri stories are my jam and I had a lot of fun reading this one. May these two lovebirds live their chill lovey dovey life together forever ^_^

I remember when I first started reading this series I thought it was kind of boring. So I did not keep up with it for a while. But then when a lot of new chapters were already out, I started with it again out of a whim and got really hooked. That was around the time when their neighbors were introduced. This story had a very unique way of telling the story. There was no rush and a lot of care was put into introducing the characters and building the story's world. Therefore, this series needed some time to get really interesting, which is why I did not fancy it in the beginning.

However, the ending really caught me by surprise. I would have expected it to end the way it started: slow, but build with care. Thus, this rushed ending is not fitting in my opinion. A lot of story lines were not resolved and I'm also not really satisfied with the fact that Wanko and Elly are taking a big step as moving together to another place during only one chapter. So, I think that the series was cancelled or something else happened that the author had to cut it short. I'm really sad about this, since I got really fond of this story. I will definitely miss it!

Overall, I really enjoyed this series a lot! It was written really well and each character had its own place in the story. This is one of the series I would recommend to a yuri new-comer. It's very sweet and feels really close to a story that could happen in real life.

uhhh, oof, what? got axed i guess? what the hell. i'm actually really upset about this. mostly because a trans character was introduced (among several other plotlines) and then it just died. huhhhhhwh. what an empty feeling this is.
