The artist made note of their displeasure with the release in a now-deleted Tweet, and the scanlation team complied by removing the release from whatever platforms they were able to. My apologies for the inconvenience.
Talk about pressure! 25.6 years average marriage age for women over there (in 2017). There’s gotta be some leeway for educated women… surrogacy should be welcomed. Government policy to allow 3 kids/woman is bonkers. I think it would be funny to have kids to pay taxes… that’s my “Modest Proposal”.
This sort of social pressure to get married so soon does force a debate on whether women get educated over there or not. Those in Afghanistan can’t even have that debate. My stance is in line with Lee Quan Yew’s views: the alphas get paid, the betas don’t, and the gammas get snipped.
Clueless1, I will do the favour of assuming you speak out of ignorance rather than malice. I'm going to ask once that you take your ignorance out of this thread and not return. In the future, avoid cluttering manhua threads with discussions of: censorship, Their Story, and unrelated governmental policy. Thanks.
As an aside, this translation is creator-approved and there's a high likelihood the artist will read these comments. I hope there won't be further disrespect of their work here. Thanks.
Edit: This thread has been cleaned of unproductive comments. These may be recovered at any time with a request in the FAQ thread.
Appreciate the discussion. However I do believe the artist's preferences have been thoroughly covered at this point, so I'll ask that the topic is dropped now. Future comments of the same nature may be removed. There are currently no plans to remove the image. Site & moderation feedback are always welcome in the Help thread. Thanks.
I ran the demo with throttling enabled and cache disabled to best demonstrate its operation. The reader now does three passes on the page rendering, with the last two passes occurring simultaneously (to the extent possible):
Generate the <img> elements (could be done server-side before page is sent)
Populate the <img> elements with client-generated placeholder images to prevent reflow when reading
Load the requested page(s) according to the location fragment
Final page loading now happens in a "bubble" around the requested page#, in the following order:
The number of pages it preloads after and before the current page is configurable. For the placeholder images, it uses a hack to get each page's dimensions (E: which is why you see it starting+aborting download of every image), but if it were integrated with the site properly that sort of thing could be cached on the server side and sent with every chapter request. I didn't show it in this demo, but the layout is still compatible with different display resolutions, layouts, etc.

I was three chapters behind and I’m very glad I saved them up. Hm. After chapter 11 I was thinking this is a pretty standard yuri story, the type we’d see constantly back in 2012-2013. There’s only three notable characters. There’s very little plot outside the romance. It’s all character-driven will-they, won’t-they stuff that predictably ends happily. I was super bummed about this! And then chapter 12 happened.
I can’t say it’s what I expected, but it’s probably the most interesting closing I’ve seen attempted in ages. Rin being the true villain all along made a lot of sense to me. The characterization and imagery was really interesting. I wish there was more of it, or there were other takes on this drama-fueled “I want to possess someone” / “please possess me” narrative that I knew of.
Unfortunately I also can’t say it really had the proper grounding to get there. Both the confession and the final swerve felt…a little hollow. I never really understood Rin’s feelings, and her stated motivation wasn’t convincing enough. Maybe the manga needed to show her pain more often? Like it did with Momoka. Another volume or so of either pre- or post-confession development could’ve done wonders.
BUT I still really enjoyed it. Third girl is a pretty refreshing character and her relationship with Momoka was super adorbs. I rather wished they’d end up together and Rin would take her advice - there’s no shame in saying no. This ending is fine enough though, since Momoka got what she wanted. More than she wanted, maybe. Good for her.
I usually try to be coherent but it ain’t happening so that’s all I got
Will be noting changes made to the site every few weeks from now on, this is our first try. In an effort to keep the change log slim, I've only noted items that have had meaningful work done on them thus far. Some other, slower projects will pop up more in the future. I know it's April 1st but this is a real update! Happy April Fools'!
Small Housekeeping Update
Addressed ~1200 tag suggestions since March 1st
Putting a long-running project into hyperdrive, we hope to have eliminated the entire backlog by the beginning of summer. With this in mind, I have a request that will eventually become a rule:
Please do not re-request or spam tag suggestions. While the backlog created significant issues in the past in responding to old suggestions in a timely manner, duplicate requests did little but delay responses further. We will begin logging and taking user suggestions seriously as of now. Spammed requests will be treated the same as forum spam - deleted on sight, blocked, and/or eventually seeing the user(s) responsible removed entirely.
I will do my best to get in touch if I feel lines are being crossed. Thank you.
Removed tags on March 16th
The little-used, confusingly-implemented Glutton tag was removed and has been wholly replaced by Food.
The little-used and ill-defined tag Defloration was removed and not replaced.
Addressed all known instances of a chapter duplicating bug, resulting in chapters appearing once on their series page, and once elsewhere on the site (usually the Author page, but sometimes unattached).
Addressed all known instances of an image tagging bug, in which poor tagging practices resulted in properly tagged images not showing up in the image search.
Existing and new tag requests will be addressed in an update later this month (April).
Beginning the process of updating the database for all the series entries! Primarily, we will:
a) Add necessary aliases, missing description information, and update any series with missing updates (that we are able to).
b) Update the Status tags as appropriate.
c) Add purchase links to all Licensed series, which will be done for all newly licensed series in the future.
There's definitely more, but I'm struggling to find 'em right now. If anyone else has good suggestions, let me know! I love the language barrier tag a lot, but it's not all encompassing for stories like that =w=
Virgins' Empire would fit, at least all the chapters tagged Elisha x Honoka. Maybe VAMPEERZ? I'm not following it but I recall something like that. This is indeed the beginning of a list.

Hi Maria. I'm the relevant person. We're not interested in monetizing the site in any way. Best of luck to you in your endeavours, take care.
My earlier comments regarding how much I'd love it if Tsuzuki was an awful woman because I love awful women aside, this development subverting those expectations is positively delicious. It's exquisite. I'm not entirely sure what's going to happen next and that's exciting.
That said, I do wish we could add a new tag, at least to chapter one. Like a "Cheating?" tag, because on the surface that's the impression I feel like we're supposed to get. I feel like changing the tag to polyamory right away takes out some of the surprise regarding the development.
Yeah, that's a very good point. The change was imperfect and unfortunate. In hindsight, I feel as though the Cheating tag should have maybe been left on the first chapter for a week or two. Given how the tag system is set up, going to mark this down as just an unfortunate happening. That I don't expect to be duplicated anytime soon, really. It was quite the turn.
Alluring though he may be, this is not the johnb Appreciation Thread. Anyone wishing to continue the topic of his broad preferences and opinions is welcome to start that thread. I'm sure it would be a hit. Otherwise, this is the Brides of Iberis thread, so let's please try to avoid long, little-related and nonconstructive tangents.
Don't write it like that cause you will get haunted by Akiyama Haru fanboys.
Honesly they give this author too much credit while in reality it's nothing special.
I'm not really interested in guys take in this story cause why should be?
I don't read yuri works to get male viewpoint presented in them, so maybe if people want it here means it's not a yuri work after all?
This story isn't for you, that's fine. That's why we have tags, so folks may see what interests them and avoid what doesn't. Otherwise, this is not the Akiyama Haru thread. This is not the Octave thread. You may visit those threads if you wish to discuss those topics. Thank you.
