I really liked this chapter. I like the use of the three stages of drunk Aya in a non-comedic manner. Her exaggerated sadness (immediately jumping to "does she not love me anymore") seems realistic for a drunk person. Mistuki needs to stop being an idiot, of course. Avoiding even looking at her for this long because she felt awkward? Seriously.

Maybe you should check up on her, Mitsuki? She may be in a familiar place with people she knows but I don't think it's all that healthy to drink enough to pass out just like that.

Also assuming the anime adaption is a success I think she definitely will make bank. All the merch and other promotional things tied to the anime, plus hit anime adaptions usually reach a larger audience. So I'm hoping for the best for her and the series!

Yeah, but let's not forget the fourth stage "clingy bug" is yet to come - if in this stage she gets clingy with Shu ,,, well either Mitsuki will either explode & act, or go into complete shut down.

Going on the trajectory so far, I'm going to guess it's shut down and we will get more chapters of the downwards spiral.

I think what makes me alil more mad at Mitsuki is she was using sex or physical intimacy as a way to distract aya from having the conversation. Of course aya would be upset abd angry at that its a corruption of a deeply intimate thing .

I guess I’ve said it before, but I didn’t experience the first arcs of this series as being so consistently fluffy and drama-free—quite the contrary. Aya’s initial accidental discovery that “Onii-san” was Mitsuki, Mitsuki giving away the concert ticket to the friend, Mitsuki’s “coming out at school as cool” arc, etc. were all about uncertainty, interpersonal tension, and misunderstanding.

Those arcs all resolved happily enough, to be sure, and there were indeed loads of purely fluffy moments, like the music festival arc, and Mitsuki’s interactions with Aya’s mom and siblings, etc. But I just don’t see the latest chapters as less interesting than the earlier ones, even though everything doesn’t get resolved with a “Mitsuki’s unconscious rizz” moment anymore.

Guys. See chapter 158. They're at the bar and the boss revealed he has a mic for live music all set up. He said to Mitsuki, "If you change your mind, I'll keep that spot open for you."

The whole time skip has been set up for THIS VERY MOMENT. Mitsuki is going to take the stage and sing live again and win back Aya's heart.

No, it doesn't make up for the fact that Mitsuki has been terrible at communication for the last dozen chapters. No it doesn't make up for Mitsuki being a really crappy girlfriend since then. But it's a start. And it'll probably be the start for Shu and Rinko, too.

Definitely. Her series are a a lot of fun. These recent chapters are building up nicely. I'm really anticipating next chapter.

We're not sure how much she was aware of. They were both deliberately paying attention to other things and Aya is with friends. They're all with friends really, it's a small gathering so she might not have really noticed until the end there. There's not much danger though given it's essentially a family gathering and they're adults. She just leaned her head, not anything too crazy yet. We stopped mid-moment so that makes the pause more impactful for dramatic effect but Mitsuki will likely react after this if she understands what's been happening. She might not know as much as the reader but we'll see. It could just look like Aya leaned on another girl, if Mitsuki hasn't noticed what was going on over there. Should be interesting next chapter!

This doesn’t have to turn into jealousy, she is already jealous. It’s the same with the dude and everyone saying “No Mitsuki is not jealous, she just wanted to confirm her relationship with Aya” and then extra confirm she was. It’s hot I love it.

I don't know why I'm still checking out the threads for series I dropped a long time ago, but I agree, this is why I gave up on following this even before the prom thing concluded. Lots of nonsense that attempts to fit in 4 pages, and none of it felt like it would be resolved to my satisfaction.

Probably. Two tracks in particular made me think about this situation “Speak to Me” (which is instrumental but could be important here for Mitsuki to have a chance at breaking this frozen state she’s in) or “Us and Them”
