I reread this series alot, picked up the physical volume too! I think people are quick to judge kon when she uses the word normal ... kon has been rejected in every type of love shes tried to receive . Her parental love ? Nah her brother gets it all
She gets a lover ? Nah he was just using her and didnt even consider it serious.
Hell even when her and Ai were making out , Ai dropped it to check a cryptic message from kaede .
Of course kon would be insecure and worried . Ai the chapter before was dropping Lil hints she was still thinking of kaede .
Kon is a character who has been rejected in every aspect of life , Ai was the first person who seemed to accept her ..kon recongized then Ai was overwhelmed with thoughts of kaede . Kon loves Ai . Im not sure Ai loves Kon .
