I didn’t get the impression that this retrospective bodes something terrible happening in the future. I mean, I’m sure a lot of us do the “would have, should have, could have” when we feel we might have done something different in a situation in order to have more clarity or save someone unnecessary pain. If anything, I feel like this is a little vague since there was so much going on in that chapter. It would be interesting to see a yuri end but it may not be the best thing for them. Nozomi is well aware that she is using Shino as a substitute for her brother, that link to him to avoid really acknowledging that he’s gone (in a way, Shino was doing the same thing) but I imagine that letting go of a spouse is much harder than Shino realizes. We’re in for a roller coaster ride still.

Yuri or not, I just don't want Nozomi to end up with the orher booooooooooooooring teacher that pops up once a year, that would be like when you finish a game without doing any sidequest and didn't care about your party's affection rate and then you unlock the regular ending where everyone is seemingly "ok" oh boy that would be so sad!! Or Nozomi ends up with the brother's friend with a motorcicle and we're supposed to accept that because "she has to move on" I feel like everyone would be pretty disappointed (to avoid saying disgusted) with that and if they say otherwise is only because they're scared that the moral police will come and blow their door, and they'll lose their jobs too.

Whooo I know that tone of dismissal from Shimamura only too well, having been in Adachi’s place (and having had a similar, not quite so drastic meltdown, but a meltdown nonetheless). I would be very shocked if she and Shimamura managed to repair this and have something more real and mature come of it. I agree with someone’s earlier comment: Adachi is a victim of some serious emotional neglect and is in dire need of a therapist before she goes completely over the edge.

Well guess I'll be one of the only people here to finish this manga. I enjoy the mundane and ever so slightly surreal vibe I get from this slice of life romance. I thought these two new chapters were cute, and I like their relationship. Some people were saying how they'd never date someone like Shiho, which sure you have your preferences, but I think that's kind of sad in a way. You can't choose who you fall in love with, and in my opinion someone like Shiho is an endearing dork in her own way.

I really like this one too so I’ve been looking forward to the updates. It’s nice, stately pace; a welcome departure from the overly dramatic yuri.

Morinaga Milk is amazing. They can write an amazing series like girlfriends about first yuri school girl love and then also a story about two grown, relatively mature women. The mangaka satisfies my needs in a wholhearted way :D

I feel bad for Kaede since she got herself involved for the good of both of them but couldn't really achieve anything and even indirectly led Konatsu down the path she's on now. I hope things get sorted out for her sake too.

She should have discussed and warned konatsu about her departure to Tokyo knowing what it means instead of dodging the problem... she wants to be the bridge between the two but it is a mistake, because she is not telling neither konatsu nor koyuki that they should talk directly to each other and especially what each thinks of the other…
Like the other two kaede wants to do things indirectly, which would work for normal people but not here.These girls need to be told the truth and not always the same question "do you feel lonely?" that keeps coming back over and over again.The real question is, how do you feel about her?

I agree with this wholeheartedly....and thank you for putting into words the things were bugging the crap out of me regarding Kaede (I’m an introvert who can get very annoyed with extroverts take it upon themselves to butt in and then wind up causing even more confusion). I’m sure she meant well but if she actually expected either of them to be direct and take initiative, then she really doesn’t know either of them well at all.

Same. I have all of the volumes in Japanese and just wanted it to keep going. I’m going to miss this cute little manga.

ETA: there seems to be a chapter in the volume that must not have been released elsewhere so I wonder if we’ll get to see that one translated too.

I am so grateful for the folks gifting us with their translation talents and time for this. I was annoyingly happy for Adachi at the end. In my head, I was thinking "Damn, Adachi, you've got it SOOOO bad. Been there, kid. smh If this crashes and burns, I'm gonna cry for you." Adachi's quirks and how her world works are very relatable to me (sadly, I'm a bit similar to her which is most likely why I'm still single.) Shimamura makes me want to throttle her at times for being so clueless; what is so odd was that, Chapter 5 Shimamura felt like a completely different person. It was like, after what happened with Tarumi and that other old school chum, being with Adachi brought out this incredible lightness of being for Shima. I was with Adachi at being so confused by how she was acting (not that it was a bad thing per se just...perplexing?)

I reactivated my account after many years of lurking to give thanks for this lovely story. It was worth every second of stressful angst, hoping things would turn out okay. Adored the infinity rings and Sayaka’s priceless “nope nothing to see here” expression after she got accidentally busted by Yuu.
