So I'm looking for some Yuri thats about a girl who either thought they were straight but realize that their actually gay or a girl that develops a crush/falls for another girl despite thinking they were straight.

Kinda like Crescent Moon and Doughnuts

Doesn't matter if it's a One shot, Series, or Doujin

Thanks ;)

Lol, there's plenty of this lovely troupe for sure but I just recommended Ring My Bell so it's at the forfront of my mind. Sora and Haena! Is also great and has a side couple that I feel matches well but uh. Def less in the sweet direction and more of an adult themed romance.

If you want lots more, I'll go through and make a real list but it might take me a while. Hope one of those tickles your fancy!

All great series, but I don't think I wanna go with those. I wanna introduce her to the genre so I definitely want something shorter, something with multiple seasons might scare her off.

I really wanna introduce her to the genre as a whole so want something kinda formulaic hitting the classic troupes. Big props for something along the vibe of young adult fantasy or historical drama since those are the kinda novels she reads. But student is what comes to my mind for a classic for GL genre so that'd also be good.

I want something with really mature art and even mature scenes. She's like a closeted sucker for those spicy moments in SUPER moderation. Gore can be plentiful though if it's like war or vampires or something.

Also, I think I really am leaning into the idea of a Korean comic.

The only one I can this of right now is Soulmate. Ring my Bell is fun too. Most GL korean webcomics I've read that are good are either incomplete at this time or super long (80+ chps).

It's not Korean but maybe A Love Letter for a Marching Puppy.

I wanted to recommend to my wife who doesn’t read comics like I do a GL comic. Her stipulations are it must be completed. I’m quick to forget the names of things I’ve read in the past and everything at the forefront of my mind is currently being serialized.

I’d prefer a web comic since it’s way better on your phone and I don’t think she’d want to read on a desktop. Somewhere I can get on a site without adds. Like here or mangadex or on a licensed apps, or Webtoons.

Also, she’s not that exposed to anime or manga so super referential things from a Japanese comic she won’t get, but she does watch k-dramas so she’s probably likely to recognize referential things like a Korean web comic

Let's just start her off with Mage and Demon Queen, Muted, and Always Human

All 3 completed, free, and require really no knowledge of asian media (cause they're western lol) which match the format you want and have varying levels of plot seriousness.

All 3 of those are a bit long so if she finishes them anytime soon and would like more or expresses more interest with a bit more specificity pleade let us know! I've got loads and loads of recs to share.

I see! Glad I could help. Since you mentioned you've read most of the yuri manga available out there (which is really impressive), I have a few new yuri manga from China, Korea, and Thailand that I could recommend to you as well. ^v^

Lol, upon closer inspection, I have read nearly everything on your list (or am already following in the case of the ongoing ones) and just didn't recognize the names (either I only knew the Japanese name and you listed english or vice versa haha).

I reread a couple and the three series I hadn't heard of yet (thank you muchly!). I would greatly appreciate the China, Korea, and Thai recs please. Webtoons are also fine, I just think I've read most of the greats already and everything I haven't feels like they were written by a middle schooler.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any specific hankerings. I'll build a list of recs in return

Hi friends,

I've been reading sapphic material voraciously for over 10 years now and am in dire need of help finding something I haven't read or something I haven't read in years.

I've been exposed to less chinese/korean/thai works so if anybody has adult life, college life, or general post-high school recommendations which are more niche but still great, I'd super appreciate it.

Preferably no love triangle or dub con but most anything else goes, including age gap and fandom-blind fanfiction.

Thanks!

@SrNevik also put together a great, extensive list of adult yuri manga on page 56, feel free to check it out!
Here are some more adult life yuri manga recommendations on my behalf. The list is quite long, so no need to rush, just pick whatever catches your interest. Hope this helps ^v^

  • Sherbet Above the Sea of Fog
  • Her Shim Cheong (historical)
  • Blooming sequence ( has a tiny bit of love triangle but it doesn't really effect the main couple)
  • The Girlfriend Project
  • Partition (really cute and great)
  • Lower Dynasty
  • Gakeppuchi Reijou ni Kurokishi sama no Horesasetai! (Fantasy)
  • Akumade Amai Watashi no Kanojo
  • My Cute Little Kitten
  • Kamina Boten, Yoeru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana
  • Still Sick
  • Yuri to Koe to Kaze Matoi
  • Dousei Seikatsu
  • Composing Spring in This Room Where Cherry Blossoms Bloom (pretty sad)
  • Model and Quiet Manager
  • Today, We Continue Our Lives Together Under the Same Roof
  • Now Loading!
  • Teiji ni Agaretara
  • After Hours
  • Housekiiro no Koi
  • Tsuki to Koi wa Michireba Kakeru
  • Bright and Cheery Amnesia
  • A Handsome Tanned Girlfriend Who’s Easy to Please
  • Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl
  • She Becomes a Tree
  • A Girl Like A Pilgrim
  • After Losing My Job, I Met Miss Mermaid at the Beach
  • Long awaited feelings

I saw that! I've read nearly everything on SrNevik's (beautiful) list and a very good chunk on yours too
I see a couple I don't recognize and am super excited.

Thank you!

Guys.

"I knew this before I even talked to her but she's a shallow, vulgar, woman.."

Is an absolutely insane sentence. Imagine explicitly stating you're judging someone purely based on looks and calling them shallow in one sentence. Manager is actually batshit.

Thanks for the chapter! I stumbled on this one's raws a while back and have been burning to read the real dialogue ever since.

"A little self centered" was generous lmao. Looking forward to the character growth of Jiang but also to all the shenanigans she's gonna get up to before getting there.

Well, that sure was an excellent way to shoot your own foot...

With what, a grenade launcher??

That made me laugh audibly. Shen ate with that response. I'm excited to see how their relationship is going to progress now with that massive bomb..

It's such a genuinely good series and I feel the retitled "how do we relationship" matches it perfectly. It's not just talking about romance, it's how do we navigate family, friends, society and, broadly, expectations. I think I can trust the author to take these characters wherever they need to go and I'll be satisfied regardless of their relationship statuses.

I just read the second chapter few days ago.
I thought that was the end of it.
I can't believe a refresh will get a third chapter today.

By the way, what does the MC mean when she said
...The feelings those girls had, the ones that had to disappear, or they had to give up on, it doesn't feel like someone else's problems.. ?

And dear Kiyoko san, I really hope that you live a life that's according to your fairytale.
I would be extremely happy for you TvT...

Does the flower plant imply that Kiyoko san is dead and she was buried as a small plant?

She's relating to the characters in the story. It doesn't feel like someone else's problem--it feels like hers.

I believe the flowers are supposed to be sweet peas.

Um. Where did you find this? I've reread Lass at least 5 times and I don't recall that plot point. I'm not going as far to say it's not true, but point me to your source please.

Mentioned in an earlier chapter and again in this chapter. It's not a major moment. It's mentioned in passing and is part of Yunduo's early motivations for "protecting" Xiaoen.

Found it again, if you want it: chapter 32.

And to the first point. I say read my previous post. The title "little brother" is given for any male in the same generation and younger than the speaker. It has nothing to do with actually being related in asian languages.

That and the names aren't enough to rule out their being related, especially considering what's being shown, discussed in chapter and her adoption.

Thanks for finding it! I get what you're saying, and it totally is possible they are related, I'm just saying it's also possible they aren't (as in the honorifics ised aren't evidence to blood ties either).

Honestly I don't tend to think too hard when reading pretty things. Whichever way it goes I'm hoping for more pretty panels and fluffy gays from Tracy Lu.

... whose negative feelings are still a strange mystery, as is why people recognize Xiaoyang as specifically her little brother despite her parents not being his. I can't even guess at how that works yet lol

This is probably a time to mention that Xiaoen was adopted at the age of 2. So the situation with family is not really straightforward at this point.

What's your go-to story for when you're feeling down? My pet passed while I was driving her to the hospital this morning, and I could really use something fun and wholesome right now.

I know other people have already answered, but I'll plop some of mine here too. Maybe they'll help someone else :)

https://dynasty-scans.com/series/miss_sunflower
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/a_room_for_two
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/ayakashiko
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/tsurezure_biyori
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/chatting_at_the_amber_teahouse

None of them are particularly heavy on the romance but they're soft and comforting and sweet.

For anime I have a few too (though not yuri in nature)
Yuru Camp
Tanaka-kun wo itsumo kedagure (? On spelling)
Acchi Kocchi

does anyone know of any yuris that's like themed around ice-skating? idrc much for other details, just that being a big plot point would be nice

I don't have a manga, but I've got a fantastic fanfiction about a hockey player and former figure skater if you're interested. I also do recommend at least checking out a catradora scene pack cause I'm a big fan of the ship.

^I'm interested in that as well. A friend wanted some action serie to get into Yuri, but i didn't have much that fitted the criterias. (though my friend is older than your sister so adult content wasn't necesarily out of the question, just not the blatant fanservice shots or design, due to personal taste)

https://dynasty-scans.com/series/gamma

Gamma is great! It definitely does have its fair share of fanservice stuff but I wouldn't say it's excessive or unwanted.

There's also
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/murcielago

Which I, admittedly, haven't read in a few years so I'm not sure if it would float your boat but I did enjoy.

I vaguely remember enjoying
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/hero_san_and_former_general_san

But I think there was some silly plot stuff and satire that I wasn't the biggest fan of near the end.

For anime, definitely check out Princess Principal and Lycoris Recoil. Loved those!

If you get desperate, you can always search advanced filter on dynasty for action + yuri and sift through.
