Okay y'all, this may be a hot-take but.

I don't think it's wild to have sex with someone you've been dating/married to for many years while they're drunk.

I personally don't, because I prefer not to, but I know my girlfriend has expressed several times that it would be fine and has gotten really really pouty over me not touching her while she's inebriated.

Does consent matter? Yes, always, absolutely. Can consent be revoked at any time? Yes, of course. Are there some consents which are assumed at certain times in a relationship or per relationship? Also yes. I don't ask for permission everytime I kiss my girl--that'd be odd and it's well established I'm allowed to do that. If at any point she doesn't want me to kiss her, she can say it and I won't but until then, I'm assuming I can--- that's not crazy pos rapist behavior (to quote some comments here)

Which brings us back to. They have implied or explicit permissions within their relationship and having sex with one party drunk is not an insane one after many years of partnership. Just my two cents after reading some strong opinions on Harlo.

In other news. What a trainwreck everyone has gotten themselves into. Really interested to see how it's gonna play out.

Yuri manga that took place in thailand? ...or please recommend me thai yuri artist.

Off the top of my head:
Lily Love (season 1 is complete)
Level One Dreamers
Pastel Love (complete)
Promise in the Night of Fireworks
Flower of Youth
Snow and Sunflower (Hiatus maybe? Haven't seen translated chapters in a while)

Thai yuri artist: Ratana Satis
Lots of people also like her other works but imo Lily Love is the best of em.

Have you read Straight Girl Trap?

I have! And yes, I love Yuni and have read all the works I could find as well as sorted here for office stuff~

I may go through and reread both of those suggestions. Solid stuff.

I'm at the point where I generally just look on dynasty's latest uploads because I've read nearly everything on here. (sans the fandom specific works I'm not a part of and the various tags I would rather not read).

Alright guys gals, nonbinary pals. I humbly request office yuri, specifically boss/subordinate if you've got any.

I'll take japanese, chinese, thai, korean, webtoons...whatever form you've got (I'm more likely to not know the work if it's not japanese). I'll even take WN recs, just only if the have an eng translation rolling around somewhere.

I've read a truly obscene amount of yuri across the board and would love for this specific itch to be scratched more. Thanks!

Looking for something similar to "Asumi-chan is Interested in Lesbian Brothels!" and "Yurika's Campus" MC go on sexual adventure by sleeping with multiple character. (No male/futa/tentacles plz)

This is an obvious rec
https://dynasty-scans.com/series/i_wont_sleep_with_you_for_free

For these, I'm not sure if it counts as a sexual adventure, but I think multiple characters sleep together in these.

If I were you I'd also try filtering with the poly, threesome, or even player tags. Might be something in there.

After a nice full re-read. Hayami's reaction to hugging Ayumu is a great contrast to her lack of reaction hugging Asuka. Our lil astronomy nerd is making progress!

Something I really like about this series (and usui shio works in general) is the pacing. We spend just as much time with the characters together as when they're apart. It makes the whole narrative and understanding of a characters' personality more show than tell.

Thanks as always for your work translating, typesetting, and redrawing so we can read!

Perhaps it's mentioned in a later chapter, but the important thing about consuming input is not just snorting media like cocaine, but doing so consciously and critically. The same way riding a bike for commute or recreation won't make you compete in the Tour de France (that's what doping is for) you need to put conscious effort into your "training".

And for a personal addition: also pay attention to what other media does badly, so you can avoid the same mistakes. And I don't mean watching wanton agenda-laden "analysis" channels on YouTube (=pundit commentary, masked the same vain that colourful mascot packaging makes little kids brush their teeth) but use your own judgment and scrutinise your conclusions (can you find counterexamples? What did they do different? Most rules are rather guidelines.) Even if you never end up writing anything, you'll learn a lot about your own preferences and strengthen your media literacy.

Later chapter drops This aged well lol, you killed that

has anyone got any yuri that involves two online friends unexpectedly meeting in person and eventually forming a relationship?

Kinda? (Though some are planned)

I love them so much. Seeing an update always brightens my day and the great part about a slower release schedule is

  1. No compromise of quality from overworking/rushing/unheathly mangaka expectations ect
  2. I get to re-read everything and enjoy it all over again after each chapter.

Thank y'all for sharing with us!

I'm looking for something kind of specific!

Any stories about unrequited love? I've browsed a bit through the "wishful thinking" and "yuri crush" tags but most of it isn't really what I am looking for.

I tend to prefer yuri stories focused on adults, maybe with drama elements. I've been reading Even Though We're Adults and this one sort of scratches this itch, but I want more!

I'm also interested maybe in stories featuring like a young adult protag pining after an older woman, are there any like this? Most of the series I've seen in the adult life tag that have an age gap between the two leads is from the perspective of the older one of the two it seems like.

I feel like "My Unrequited Love" by Tmnr will fit perfectly!

Hello. I'm looking for a series (might have been incomplete) that I thought I read here on Dynasty about a college student who would eat her lunch alone on a bench and was being observed by another girl who was the campus goddess. The watched girl took a companion job and turns out the goddess was the contractor, then watched girl started teaching the other girl common cooking recipes each day.

Pretty sure it's this

My sister is turning 17 (again, this time hopefuly for real) soon and I'm still looking for yuri manga or anime that she might enjoy. Preferably in german, but english is also okay.

Her taste is mostly sports anime (especially of the fujobait variety) and whatever is currently mainstream-popular in the anime season (think MHA). There's Birdie Wing and Harakuna Receive, but the former afaik was a let down and the latter is, eh, fanservice-y.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I just realized I don't think anyone has recommended hana to hoshi yet. It's table tennis yuri! The rest is off the top of my head and may have been pointed out to you before.

I think Princess Principal is one of my favorite original animes. It's also more on the shojo ai than yuri but had a decent story. Spy x family similarities (in terms of what's popular mainstream)

Lycoris Recoil is another original action anime. The plot was a little iffy near then end but overall still a good watch. I'd def call it yuri but no explicit kisses or anything like that.

Saki is fanservice-y and as explict as subtext can get as a mahjong anime that's strangely intense. (Sport anime intensity)

Gamma is one of my favorite action yuri pieces. It's got some saucy scenes and definitely some fanservice but I was a big fan, personally. It seems to have made a difference to people so spoiler no incest

Murciélago is definitely gay. More dark, violent, and grizzley action manga. I like it but take a look at the content warnings and tags before deciding if it's a good fit.

That's all the action/mainstream/sports esque manga and anime I can think of right now. Hope any one of them looks decent!

Every now and again I check in like "is this still really messy? Yeah? Lovely" then scamper away until enough chapters build up again.

It's also not Philippines and I wouldn't call either of the main couple super nerdy but Ring My Bell came to mind.

It’s crazy how quick people are to label a woman as a villain for having a messy relationship. The possibility of a sort of psuedo beard type relationship with her husband is tantalizing, but seems unlikely. Ema was in love with Takara as a kid but got abandoned out of nowhere during a time when she was the only person who Ema could open up to, which left her alone and adrift while dealing with her shit mom.

Hario comes into the picture as someone who is kind to her and willing to support her, and he offers her a way away from her horrible mom and is able to “protect” her from her mom in some ways. They got married when they graduated college and then there was a decade or more until she reunited with Takara. Even if she’s a lesbian who never felt love for Hario, they still have a decade of marriage together and that whole time presumably he was her support to stand against her mom and have freedom.

Of course she’s still relying on him while also behaving ambiguously with Takara! She’s got basically no fucking support network outside of her husband, and now suddenly her childhood friend who she’s in love with too! Clearly she’s still not in a place where she can just say “I’m gonna change everything around me and leave behind the husband who cherishes me and who I’ve become dependant on for the last decade”. That’s not how any of this works.

And to put it in simple terms, none of this is her fault, she did the best she could in the situations she was forced into, and it just so happens that she’s gotten into a really difficult set of relationships because of it.

Just want to 1000% agree.

Just adding another 1000%

I'll tack on a third 1000%

On top of that another 1000%

4 is unlucky so I'm taking another 1000% on

It's this whole nuanced situation that keeps me coming back. I don't have any real projections or expectations on how this story will end because it's not as cut and dry as cute-little-highschool-childhood-friend-crush is. I'm super curious on how this will go and I'm just hoping for the least painful (but not wildly unrealistic) ending for everyone

I remember when the first chapter made its way on here and being like "oh okay, silly premise but I'll bite" and now being absolutely feral for updates because everything was done so well. 10/10 progression

So I'm looking for some Yuri thats about a girl who either thought they were straight but realize that their actually gay or a girl that develops a crush/falls for another girl despite thinking they were straight.

Kinda like Crescent Moon and Doughnuts

Doesn't matter if it's a One shot, Series, or Doujin

Thanks ;)

Lol, there's plenty of this lovely troupe for sure but I just recommended Ring My Bell so it's at the forfront of my mind. Sora and Haena! Is also great and has a side couple that I feel matches well but uh. Def less in the sweet direction and more of an adult themed romance.

If you want lots more, I'll go through and make a real list but it might take me a while. Hope one of those tickles your fancy!

All great series, but I don't think I wanna go with those. I wanna introduce her to the genre so I definitely want something shorter, something with multiple seasons might scare her off.

I really wanna introduce her to the genre as a whole so want something kinda formulaic hitting the classic troupes. Big props for something along the vibe of young adult fantasy or historical drama since those are the kinda novels she reads. But student is what comes to my mind for a classic for GL genre so that'd also be good.

I want something with really mature art and even mature scenes. She's like a closeted sucker for those spicy moments in SUPER moderation. Gore can be plentiful though if it's like war or vampires or something.

Also, I think I really am leaning into the idea of a Korean comic.

The only one I can this of right now is Soulmate. Ring my Bell is fun too. Most GL korean webcomics I've read that are good are either incomplete at this time or super long (80+ chps).

It's not Korean but maybe A Love Letter for a Marching Puppy.

I wanted to recommend to my wife who doesn’t read comics like I do a GL comic. Her stipulations are it must be completed. I’m quick to forget the names of things I’ve read in the past and everything at the forefront of my mind is currently being serialized.

I’d prefer a web comic since it’s way better on your phone and I don’t think she’d want to read on a desktop. Somewhere I can get on a site without adds. Like here or mangadex or on a licensed apps, or Webtoons.

Also, she’s not that exposed to anime or manga so super referential things from a Japanese comic she won’t get, but she does watch k-dramas so she’s probably likely to recognize referential things like a Korean web comic

Let's just start her off with Mage and Demon Queen, Muted, and Always Human

All 3 completed, free, and require really no knowledge of asian media (cause they're western lol) which match the format you want and have varying levels of plot seriousness.

All 3 of those are a bit long so if she finishes them anytime soon and would like more or expresses more interest with a bit more specificity pleade let us know! I've got loads and loads of recs to share.

I see! Glad I could help. Since you mentioned you've read most of the yuri manga available out there (which is really impressive), I have a few new yuri manga from China, Korea, and Thailand that I could recommend to you as well. ^v^

Lol, upon closer inspection, I have read nearly everything on your list (or am already following in the case of the ongoing ones) and just didn't recognize the names (either I only knew the Japanese name and you listed english or vice versa haha).

I reread a couple and the three series I hadn't heard of yet (thank you muchly!). I would greatly appreciate the China, Korea, and Thai recs please. Webtoons are also fine, I just think I've read most of the greats already and everything I haven't feels like they were written by a middle schooler.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any specific hankerings. I'll build a list of recs in return
