not that this totally bears a justification or that this needs to be the case every time for this kind of thing but like idk its super obvious to me with this set up specifically, the student 'at the wheel' there is a deliberate editorializing of one's own victimization. It is not very concerned with maintaining the suspension of belief around the crucial details and instead is blatant fantasy in the way she gets to have all the agency and power. its like traumakink 101. we are in the S's / Adults POV because she is the mirror image of the other protagonists experiences "in the real". They even spell it out with the middle school anecdote. Teach falls into this world likely under the same conditions that precipitated the student, but is yet another editorializion of ones victimization in that she is willing and enjoying it beyond the physicality. The fear is not somatic and is not negative, but mental and positive.

anyways yea this is already making for good scenes and this dynamic can explore a lot of cool stuff for anyone with experiences / involved with traumas.

I'm not sure if this is something I will enjoy, personally I don't love this author's style and the M didn't interest me much here. Second to last page was really good though. I'll stick around for a while to see how it goes.

Always a good bdsm time with Nanatsu Fuji

Agreed. I also don't get why people don't read the tags if there's something they don't like and just... not read the manga. It happens every time there's a manga with a student and teacher relationship in it.

I don't like lolicon, so I don't read series that have that tag.

Fair point. However, these tags often don’t reflect the degree or intensity of the themes they represent. For example, I once read a one-shot on here labeled as “angst,” but the angst was barely noticeable. Since this is the first chapter, I assume many readers are curious especially with it being a new yuri series alongside Nanatsu Fuji’s latest work.

Fair point in general, but I will say, I don't see how anyone could be a fan of Nanatsu Fuji without being fine with age gap lol. Her oneshots aside, literally all her serializations are adult x minor yuri.

Can't we talk about a manga without having long-winded discussions about the morality of fiction every single time? It's just repeating itself and bloating the thread.

One helluva a first chapter

Bringing real life laws into manga, lol.

People need to learn to separate reality from fantasy. Why is it that Japanese people can do it, but westerners get their panties in a twist when it depicts something that's (oh noes) illegal?

The "acktshually" people are a bore.

I tend to mentally age everyone up in general when I'm reading stuff, but any amount of aging up won't fix the whole teacher/student thing, so it's best to just ignore it, prolly.

Or just not read it? The teacher student relationship is one of the main appeals of this series. It's probably going to keep being brought up.

Anyway, enjoyable first chapter. I wonder what's going to happen next. I liked how the teacher got roped into it.

agree with this where people should separate fiction from reality, but the unfortunate reality is that there is a handful of genuine weirdos who want to make this reality and it’s a valid thing to be concerned about. i personally read whatever (and i enjoy the dynamic in this manga!) but i don’t blame people for calling out these kinds of manga because it does water down the severity of a lot of these topics. also.. i would have not used the japanese as a form of “separating reality from fiction” LMAO, the streets are filled with merchandise with lolis on it and it’s disgusting how women are treated over there.

That was a spicy first chapter. Even with a "hentai" setup like this I do hope they get to trust each other a bit more along the way. They skipped quite a few steps here of course.

And I'm not sure anyone should be concerned about a handful of weirdos. One or two weirdos can be enough to ruin everything. I'm sure there are people who want Euphoria to be real, too.

People need to get over themselves. This is obviously an over the top erotic manga that's not meant to be taken seriously. Just enjoy the ride or read something that's more to your liking <_<

I can’t get over that fact that this is the first time I’ve seen blackmail, where the blackmailer puts herself on the line in order to get what she wants LMAO

Last panel also made me laugh too

I’m kinda shocked there’s ppl goin on bout legality as if taking away the BSDM part would’ve made the relationship legal in the first place

everyone stopped watching action movies with me because i kept pointing out the murder is actually illegal, so i just shake my head when anything bad happens so god knows i don't approve of this sort of thing

I literally lol’d at this, tysm XD

I find that in general, ppl in the west can’t ignore stuff they don’t like regardless of how it’s portrayed to them.

I only find myself worrying about legality in a manga like Learning Love (cuz the manga handles it realistically)

And even then, it’s more so “the teacher getting in huge trouble is gonna be a major conflict that’ll create loads of angst” instead of an “this is legally wrong” kind of way

Not liking BSDM doesn’t make you special bro.

“Sadism” is literally in the title, there’s a BSDM tag AND there’s a school girl tag

People act like they’ll die if they don’t ignore stuff they don’t like

I feel like it's way more common in one-shots than multi-chapter works though

Yeah I don't think we've had very many ongoing series with S&M lately.

Also if an author wants to make an S&M series what are they supposed to do? Not make it because other people have made S&M works? That's very silly, especially since humans naturally get inspired by others to make something of their own lol

I think I've seen it before...but I can't remember where

The webcomic El Goonish Shive had something vaguely similar. Diane saying she'd go hug a vampire, putting herself at danger, to force information out of someone bound to keep her safe.

Vague memory of seeing yuri "student says she'll go do something risky to coerce her teacher", but I couldn't place it.

The good news is, if Sensei ever gets too worn down by Masono's demands, she has a very easy way to let out her frustrations ;)
