This chapter was both painful and joyful. An’s emotional outpouring when walking into her old apt, followed by her apparent acceptance of her situation and her new home was the equivalent of an uppercut followed by a hug. This series is wonderful.

Also, good on Akane and Miwa for asking An instead of deciding for her. While she needs closure, she should still be a participant in the decision. Good parents.

Right on. Good series. I hope Miwa, Akane, and An find happiness given the less-than-stellar hands they were dealt in life.

Remake or not, this series is hilarious.

I noticed halfway through the story and then had to keep checking the hair to confirm blonde gyaru “delinquent” with beauty mark (Yukie Ayano) turned into “career woman” who cooks all the food in the house (except sweets) and the calm, “plain” girl (Shouko Yoshino) turned into the lesbian bar owner who hangs out with friends and was afraid of finding anyone from their past. Possibly not for her sake but for Yukie’s sake.

Not quite; Shouko is the cook. Yukie can only make pancakes, "I'm in charge of sweet things".

I hadn't noticed the beauty mark on my own, but I did figure out they swapped hair colors in adulthood.

Kudos to Tayaki-san. Almost 6 years ago, they ended the first half of the story with the intention to reedit it, and then finish the story, and now their actually doing it. THAT is dedication.

It seems that whenever the subject of romance or dating has come up since 'Special 3: The things I want to ask but haven't been able', Sakurako has 'worried eyes' while saying there's no need to change what she has w/ Kasumi. Regardless of what she says, it seems she wants more from her relationship w/ Kasumi. Regardless, any new Futaribeya chapter is a treat.
