That presumes the Toraha canon is also canonical in (this particular) Nanoha timeline. Let me remind you that the Toraha!Shirou has died on the job some time before Nanoha turned 9, but is alive in the TOS continuity, which is an argument against him being a ninja bodyguard there, too.

He was a ninja in the Nanoha timeline too, he just survived. Him being hospitalized is a big part of Nanoha's backstory in season 1/the first movie. There are implications that the other things are canon in this timeline too, though Arisa is probably not a ghost.

Spoilers for "You and I Are Polar Opposites" final episode of season 2, The last 10-15 minutes of that show focuses on the main couple parting way to have a long distance relationship for college, they have an extremely romantic parting of ways including a "I love you" and a hug as one of them gets on a train to move to another city for college. From there we get a montage of moments including one that is about 30 seconds long that shows the guy setting up his new apartment in the city he moved to for college along with the girl calling him, them actively maintaining their long distance relationship, then we see more moments such as them getting back together for festivals, cherry blossoms, and eventually we get a final brief moment of them post college where they are now happily living together as a couple. I just...wanted literally any of that from Lara's ending and I don't think that's too much to ask for.

No, no, lesbians should be thankful for getting crumbs at all and stop complaining about not getting any explicit romantic couple moments because it's way more artistic when the lesbianism is is vague and can be hand-waved.

Yeah, these kind of manga tend to generate a lot of projecting/wishful thinking that it frankly doesn't deserve. The good news is that there are manga that actually deal with gender identity and non-conformity seriously. Maybe not many, but we don't need to settle for this kind of manga anymore.
