The unspoken emotions and mutual tension between them is unbearable. So many things obscured off the page with just a glimpse at each of their feelings and a hint at developments.

I really like that the mom hires our protag at first to essentially bully her out of the relationship, maybe even because she knows her son isn't taking it seriously, intending to mock her lack of cooking skill. But the moment she shows off her frankly professional skill she shows that she really hasn't been living an easy life, immediately endearing herself to the mom, though it's not exactly maternal feelings being sprouted here lmao.

I think at least subconsciously she wants to be "eaten" like those peaches. Where else can the mom apply her soft lips? Where said application will generate fluid that wets her lips and drips down? Makes one wonder

Peaches in CN slang mean the exact same thing for us. So far, all the Chinese light novels and manhua I've read go ham on the peach euphemism WAY more than we do partly because of the scensorship rules they have over at CN. At this point, they're pretty much being blatant about desires minus outright saying it.

This was really good bittersweet, even ^_^. The way the story played out and ended makes it feel like it deserves a sequel. Also, damn, what a terrible son, using his mom’s card to buy expensive shoes and then mocking her to a girl he’s cheating on his girlfriend with.
