Deadass this is my Roman Empire. Every so often, I return to this and re-read it and torture myself with the knowledge that it isn't a series. If anybody ever comes across this comment, send me some comics/manga that you'd recommend that's along this plot point. Feed my starved soul, please/

Didn't think manga would be hitting me with just straight up realism (like, if this were a straight-up story without the panels, it'd be classified as realist) at 4AM but here we are. A few years ago, I think I would've hated that there was no romance or 'big changes like in drama', but now it's just a very lovely read.

I love it. I fecking love it. When I first came across this, I was rooting for some sort of enemies to lovers arc because that's the kinda trope I like. But I adore the trajectory this took and the maturity of the storyline.

That being said, I shall now be reading "Ayaka is In Love with Hiroko" because I need to cleanse myself with something more wholesome.

It's been years, but, maaaaan, I really wish this would stretch to at least 1 volume (and may their toxic yuri actually end up in a happier place than Junko and Kayo XD

This is was a really nice and quick read, but I do wish there's a part two that kinda shows more of their new relationship. (Because, Sasakawa is clearly a people-pleaser / needs validation from others, so it'd be nice to see her stand up for herself / have the author show she's not just using (not necessarily maliciously) Maki for the validation.)
