This was honestly incredible. It does what the best oneshots do, suggest oceans of complexity through implication and metaphor. The son's total reliance on his mother for everything being the direct result of his complete lack of respect for her, and by extension women in general -- note how the MC looked like his mother when she was tying his shoe. The implication that the mother married her husband for the same reason the MC dated her son, to make use of their money at the cost of their own dignity. The MC and the mother starting off antagonistic because they both depend upon their relationship to the son to maintain their status in a patriarchal world only to slowly start empathizing with, and eventually loving, each other more. I feel like there's so much to say about this and I've only scratched the surface. Thanks so much for the translation!
