Also, can I just take the opportunity to shout out Mikawa a bit? What an absolute champion. She spotted that Yamada was crushing on Kase way back at the beginning, and has been super supportive of their relationship the whole way. She was the only character to call out Kase in the last arc, and she's great at giving Yamada a bit of a push when Yamada needs it, but never goes too far. Everyone could use a friend like her. She's 100% earned the right to show up late at night and mooch food. XD

Seriously, in what countries it's rude to show at a friend's house when they just told you to do so? (And even living just in the neighbor door). I know in Spain we are like, known for being like "social", but... I just don't understand Kase's reaction. It feels a little out of place and rude to me. And this with more or less context of what kind of society is Japan.

I think that's exactly it. Kase isn't articulating some social norm, she's just reacting viscerally in typical Kase fashion.

Well, by real people standards, sure. But it's well established that manga characters, being two dimensional, can take very little booze . . . some are capable of going down from a single boozy chocolate; there's even recorded cases of drunk literally from the smell of booze.

I was honestly surprised when I found out that there are people whose alcohol tolerance is just as bad or worse than anime/manga lightweights. I've heard a story of someone I know getting hammered over taking a sip off of wine that only had 0.05% alcohol content. She was apparently giggling through the whole ride home. And then there's this cousin of mine who took a sip off of lite beer and... well, he went red in the face and threw up soon after that.
