If there's one thing I have learned from this forum, it's that no matter how clear cut smth is, no matter how unambiguous and small a look, a word or a gesture may be, there's always someone who can write a whole thesis deconstructing it to the tiniest detail xD for better or worse

So, although Kurumi's reaction may seem forced from the reader's perspective, it's actually not that hard to believe when viewed through the lens of the character.

I feel like commenters forget this like 90% of the time. Getting annoyed at how characters react to situations when they only have half the information needed to make the decisions that readers think "should be obvious" or something.

Ahahaha I was thinking "Well this looks to be a quick end to the jealousy and that new character, that's a relief". Then the end of the chapter hits, honestly all I can say at this point is well, that's life. Life is a weird complicated mess of constant surprises, some of which are frustrating, and we have to learn how to deal with them. So this I suppose could be just one of those bumps in the road that I hope at least makes the main couple grow closer in the long run.

Here's to hoping that Rio is able to push these useless lesbians into further progress

It feels like having Rio stay as a secondary character was pretty much inevitable going forward, as much as I would have found it refreshing for the genre if character development came naturally instead for once (^^). Oh well, let's hope she adds a fun dynamic to the story and can help these two get together as a true couple. They might even have a bit of a Maid Dragon alternative family thing going , that would be pretty fun to watch.
