Nekozaki seem to have bad experience with love so that's why she react like that.Seem to be like Useless Princesses in a less angst manner.

I wholeheartedly agree. The mangaka set it up pretty competently already that Nekozaki has some baggages that she needs to work through in regards to personal relationships, so this is not something out of left field. I can totally believe that Nekozaki actually wanted to sit on the confession for a long while while still remaining friends (which I neither condone nor condemn) but in her "stress mode" and infinite stupidity (since this still is a comedy manga after all) she blurted it out in the worst possible way.

TLDR: It's in character and makes sense in universe so I'm okay with it

Nekozaki is quite a smart student, but it when it comes to love specifically, it's error 404. I don't understand why people hates this direction. Nekozaki was always known to be those smart-airheaded types since the beginning. She was bound to do this LOL

you could say bakazaki has high intelligence and low wisdom (like 4 wis). She knows tomatoes are fruit but she would still put them in a fruit salad.

The perfect blend of drama and comedy. Mikoto continues be a Stacy. Every other character could be horribly unlikable, and she would still carry this manga to stardom.

At least someone who seem to understand. I think i should write n caps so people might notice it. I don't say what Nekozaki said wasn't stupid, of course it is and she seembto regret it by the end but if you remember what happen in the original (so quite possibly here), it should make a bit more sense that Nekozaki don't quite understand the concept of love and frankly, there was a hint last chapter. Like come on, if you read just a little into it, it make sense. I'm just baffled so much peoples don't seem to understand Nekozaki.

The basic elements of this situation is something that happens constantly in real life. You fall in love with somebody who is a friend over time, you confess, they reject you but they still want to be friends and don't want to hurt you, but you distance yourself from them because it is the only real way to protect yourself.

In fact, it's likely how the vast majority of confessions end up, especially at their age.

The "I don't deserve to be on their stage" thing shared by Nekozaki and Kurosawa from Useless Princesses is pretty fucking weird, though, and hard to relate with. My self esteem is so low it is practically negative, but I would still never reject somebody I like's confession because I suspect I know better than them that they will be miserable with me (which I can only guess is the real underlying thought at play here, at least in Nekozaki's case).
