Great now I'm hungry not just for more Yuri but for Yakiniku as well. Can't wait for more drooling goodness out of this manga!

I'm loving the art style! All the food looks good too, and now I really want some TT

I'm excited to see how this manga continues though!! It's looking good already

Oh, a re-release translated from Japanese? Good going! The English version I saw before was Google-translated from Spanish, and wasn't all that good. There were many huge mistakes.

(The funniest one was in the chapter title, "Grilled Beef!" The dish in this chapter is made of pork and cabbage, there's no beef to be found anywhere!)

By the way, there are 9 chapters out in Spanish -- and I can confirm that the story is, indeed, yuri. However, it will slow the pace considerably after this rather speedy beginning, so don't go expecting cunnilingus by chapter 2 or something like that, 'kay?

I love how seriously they consider her “secret life” to be, from the tone of the characters you’d think she was doing hard drugs or participating in an underground fight club

So, her "secret life" is that she eats normal food and not just sweets all the time? Why would anyone care? Does she think other girls eat nothing but sweets? What is up with manga gendering sweet and savory food like this?

I am already loving this story and these characters. Can't wait to see a romance begin to bloom. Also, yakiniku x miso, otp!

I don't think it's about gender, more like her personal image of delicate and charming girl without flaws or gaps that eats just tiny sweets and it's always tidy, just like you would see an athlete trying to appear healthy and serious with diets and carrot juice but secretly likes fast food and donuts...

Is like an image she wants to keep, doesn't mean girls can't eat whatever, she just wants to look cute in whatever she does... Many people do stuff like this for Instagram or Twitter.

So yeah just because she does this doesn't mean all girls should be or are like that

It seems to be a japanese culture thing? You see it in a lot of manga. Guys embarassed to go to sweet-shops and the like. Women cultivating personalities on instagram where they take pictures of sundaes and pancakes and such things. Ramen places are for old men and working people, seems to be the mindset.

Nice, thanks for helping Zats out with the translation! The Spanish to English by google was pretty good compared to most, but glad to see it's getting the proper treatment. Though I find "in campus" quite jarring, 'at campus' flows better for me, however, I think it's the "campus" word itself I find quite jarring in the sentence.

I am looking forward to the chapter in which they both eat meat pies.

Women love sweets and men don’t seems to be a common stereotype in Japan. I remember that coming up in a few genderswap mangas where the male-to-female swapped character enjoys stuffing their face with sweets, which they couldn’t do before.

Thing is, the Japanese word "amai" means both weak and sweet. In anime, you see a lot of fight scenes where some guy botches an attack and his opponent yells "AMAI!" to mock him -- as well as a lot of scenes in which a wee girl tries some dish, discovers it's really sweet and says "Amaaai!" in a happy singsong voice.

The homonymy of the two words has led to the association of the notions of sweet and weak, which many men find so disturbing that they entirely avoid sweet foodstuffs because they don't want to be connected to the idea of weakness.

(Of course, there are also men who love sweet things and don't care about the traditional ideal of masculinity. In manga and anime, you often see them in fancy cafés, eating extravagant parfaits and such, while the waitresses look at them with huge sweatdrops on their heads, lol.)

To be honest I got so hungry I nearly forgot this was a Yuri until the very end

Get used to this. It happens every damn chapter. This author is way too good at drawing and describing delicious food (and its effect on people).

Lmao, I love her little "yet" at the end, there. She just can't help it. She knows which way the wind is blowing.
