But in most Asia culture, kids getting hit by adults and teachers as punishments are very common and culturally acceptable. As long as the adults do not permanently injure or scar the kids, they can be as violent as necessary to make sure the kids remember the lesson (speaking from experience).

I had no idea, that sounds really great and the new chapter is also really great. Might be one of my favourites in a while, not that there's been many frequent releases in the past months...

I guess an advantage of a double tsundere pairing is being able to get asymptotically close to crossing the line without needing to actually do it lol

^^^^ Actually, I think a friendship request may be a real ritual in Japan. It's basically a way to become friends when there's no natural way to do it, as the social situation stands, and the person making the request fears being importunate and going against the grain of social routine. So this girl admired Himawari, didn't know how else to become her friend, and reached out in a formal way.

In the anime Gamers there is a howlingly hilarious scene related to a friendship request.
