Pretty satisfying as a one shot, I actually think it's pretty clear that they're going to continue seeing each other. A relationship of convenience between two women who are tired of going through the motions with their "normal" lives.

But the husband didn't suffer any consequences here. Lesbian sex is not seen as 'real' sex by most people, and his wife still loves him even after this woman gave her her first orgasm. She will continue to do all the childcare and domestic labor for him, and he can continue to neglect her. It's pretty sad actually.

i do think that (cis) heteronormativity makes us blind to (the possibility of) love and happiness, if they reside outside of that frame.

and so some people resign themselves to living unfulfilled lives. and unless they are complete weirdos, who cannot but stumble over everything normal*, they might live a whole life that way

once we're trapped in such a frame, any escape, or any attempt to carve out some kind of happiness is, of course, cheating, or a destruction of the family
