^ To me it that expression looks more like "I've been reading until now when I was deprived of my close sight by my girlfriend, whose seductive wide décolleté ironically only became a diffuse, skin-coloured blob to me." Also I just realized that chest flame must make for a handy reading light at night.

Finally, proper toxic yuri.

I also despise seeing BDSM get used in toxic works. I hate the fact the kink is viewed as "that fetish where people hurt each other", when it's in fact entirely predicated on consent, communication, trust, and love. Setting boundaries and establishing dynamics and what kinds of play the partners are looking for is important, and seeing that being wholly eschewed feels kind of... Dubious to me.

A fictional work that does not claim to educate on the topic of BDSM has no obligation to fulfill that function; it's not the responsibility of artists and creatives if the sex education people receive is often severely lacking. And the charge that a fictional work is misleading about BDSM requires a stronger case than just calling its story vaguely "toxic".

If vast segments of the population believe that sexual acts in the context of BDSM are magically except from requiring consent, the situation is so cooked that just more wholesome depictions of BDSM are not enough to fix it. As for the importance of things like communication, trust, and boundaries, these principles are hardly followed consistently in queer dating outside the context of BDSM, never mind straight dating where sex is still largely viewed as something a man takes from a woman. So I don't understand being this concerned about the fictional depictions of specifically BDSM, as if our society had dating and sex all figured out otherwise. You might as well be mad at any sexual content in "toxic" works for not dispelling people's misconceptions and nasty beliefs about sex in general.

Not trying to argue for Caku here, but that first paragraph misses the point. Yes, this isn't sex ed - nobody claimed it is or should be. Doesn't change the fact some people might not enjoy such a trope for various reasons. Imagine the point instead was the narrative cliché of portraying savage populations in fantasy almost always with cultural references that are decidedly not caucasian or east asian. Or how suspiciously much asexual representation in fiction is in the form of non-human and/or unemotional characters. It's perfectly fine for people to simply not like or even criticize such an authorial decision.

No single work can be held responsible for greater societal problems, and you can't categorically condemn elements of fiction (daily reminder that Magneto is a jewish member of a secret cabal with advanced technology and an agenda of world domination and population control who controls rare metals) but shutting down all attempts to discuss the topic via highbrow dismissal is most surely not helping anybody. Doubly so since BDSM (especially in the unrelated horror genre) is associated with some really skewed ideas that cause real harm.

Besides, these two are morons. Ill intent is given on the MC's side at least, but so far all their BDSM was teasing, semi-serious pet play. Tonally, I doubt they'll be able to really harm another.

I'm not a big fan of mixing foods together, so I'd pass on that pretty hard, as much as I wouldn't want to offend Hinami (^^)

I too rather consume caryopses, energy-dense crystals, junglefowl menstruation, fat emulsions and tree bark separately instead of mixed.

The detective work of the uploaders is really going underappreciated at times. And for those who are wondering: they're calling each other pretty, Nisha in a more casual way.

Also, my selfcest-o-meter is giving conflicting readings but I approve either way.

Maybe it'll become clearer once we know what problem with "MMM" is in the first place.

if there's some kind of transgender commentary to come seems up in the air, though.

Hmm, now I wonder how the broader witch community thinks of a transmasc witch...er? Perhaps out protagonists are getting roped into some sort of trans- or androphobic witch hunt (pun absolutely intended) and moon is actually one of the good guys.

I like the idea, but I don't see the council looking jaded. In fact the strongest reaction we get is a "huh?!?" to the idea of this "exchange" ^^#

... what I don't get is why the witch council feels it's fine for Sadako to run wild if only she solves this issue. If she succeeds, that surely just means they replaced one problem with a different one.

Easy: At first they only had one witch running wild and send another one after her. Because that didn't work, they tried it another three times. That's why everyone on the council looked so jaded.

Honestly this is moving too fast for my liking. Sadako and Hanako had hardly time to establish any real relationship, having mostly interacted indirectly before Sabbath interfered, and now there's supposed to be romantic tension with characters they quite literally met hours if not minutes ago?

^ Trigger is blind (also, a sniper).

But yup, it's just that. ZZZ is imho hornier than other Hoyo games (though I can't speak on early Honkai/Gun Girls Z). For example Mindscape Cinema, a central upgrade system, will have the agents undress as you upgrade them (Anby Initially, Anby Maxed). The physics simulation on the characters is also, uh, more detailed. At least it treats male agents the same.

But to refute the point I see implied here: they're not a sex (reproductive) organ, but definitely a sexual organ.

By that logic, any part of the body that any particular person is attracted to or feels pleasure from is a "sexual organ." Are you willing to also classify ears, necks, feet, and other parts as such?

Whilst I'm not certain where you found "that logic", no, clearly not, that's the entire point. Breasts moonlight as courtship signals/triggers, which most body parts (even sex organs - it's hard to flaunt your ovaries) don't. Mind you, I'm approaching this from the "alien biologist surveying homo sapiens" perspective without any weird moral judgements. But arguing that breasts aren't sexual is like arguing a peacock's train isn't sexual.

EDIT to add:

I always thought the distinction was not unlike the common usages of 'cult' versus 'religion'. Once it becomes common or mainstream enough, it stops getting called a 'fetish' because it's been normalized, regardless of how universal it actually is.

Would the mainstream version of fetish be "kink"? Like how blindfolds or playfull spanking might not be for everyone, but are nothing out of the ordinary (compared to full enclosure or knife play)?

PSA: All chapters were added today, it's just that the front page is sorted by date of release, not upload, to prevent clutter. For example all the Appollonia chapters were added at once, but not a single one appeared on the front page due to being dated back.

Sounds like a painful read for anyone who had tried it out before it was complete, though !

Yep, seems like a lose-lose deal. Those who read for the misery porn will be "disappointed" by a good ending, whilst those looking for yuri probably lost hope before the other girl was even introduced.

Here is the first definition that pops when googling fetish definition:
"a form of sexual desire in which gratification is strongly linked to a particular object or activity or a part of the body other than the sexual organs."

Breasts are literally sexual organs, therefore it is not a fetish. Enhanced why many people like breasts. We are probably wired to like them.

Breasts are not a sex organ, at least in the sense of that definition (whatever definition you use for sex organ is fine with me). Sex organ in this sense refers to reproductive organs. Breasts aren't used in reproduction, but for feeding babies.

Many people have sexual feeling when their breasts are touched in certain ways, but this can also be achieved with other body parts that aren't used in reproduction.

Since you like quotes: [quote]

People getting hung up on definitions as if there was something like an International Kink and Eroticism Union that provides the authoritative definitions of what is and isn't a fetish. (Not to mention the other meanings the term "fetish" has.)

But to refute the point I see implied here: they're not a sex (reproductive) organ, but definitely a sexual organ. Breasts aren't for feeding babies, nipples are. They're as irrelevant to milk production as cheeks are to salivating.; in fact breasts too big (fatty) can interfere with lactation. Heck, males can lactate under the right circumstances!

Breasts are a uniquely human thing and absent in other mammals, even hominids. We do not know for sure why women developed them in the first place, but it is believed to be co-opted into a replacement for the sexual signal of buttocks that was partly lost due to human upright bipedalism. Nope, science marches on (see IV.4 on p. 7). Even the oldest known human artefacts depict breasts in a sexual way!

Calling something like that a fetish does a disservice to actual mazophilia, the same way classifying everybody aroused by pornography a voyeur would broaden the term into meaninglessness.

Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo

How much war drama/political thriller is Witch from Mercury? I recall it had a rather large cast outside the showstealing couple, and I have a feeling she likes shows with many leading characters. Like Jujutsu Kaisen, BNHA, or for western series, ATLA and HTTYD. Or used to, everybody else has left the nest and my parents are bad sources of intel. She also played Genshin for the story iirc.

Black Fox

So this thing existing wasn't a hallucination, but a folie à deux. Good one, I'll keep it in mind as a backup plan.

Shuumatsu no Izetta

I need everybody to understand that being german, wehraboo cringe really makes your toe nails curl.

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru

Isn't that some super-involved franchise? I always meant to get into it myself but was to lazy to check where to begin (manga vs. anime vs. VNs)?

Harakuna Harukana Receive

Just checked this and yikes. With 4 sisters, if I get one an 80€ blu-ray, the rest willl demand similar value in the future. But she loves, lo-lo-loves Haikyuu! (apparently she watched it like 5 or 6 times, judging by complaints about the family Netflix account). So if this is basically just girl Haikyuu, I might clench my teeth.

Semi-related, she has figurines of the most random stuff and spends way too much on Build a Minifigure, so ... shipping times aside, is Assault Lily, like ... a thing?

Anyway, thanks for the inputs/venting.

My sister is turning 17 (again, this time hopefuly for real) soon and I'm still looking for yuri manga or anime that she might enjoy. Preferably in german, but english is also okay.

Her taste is mostly sports anime (especially of the fujobait variety) and whatever is currently mainstream-popular in the anime season (think MHA). There's Birdie Wing and Harakuna Receive, but the former afaik was a let down and the latter is, eh, fanservice-y.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There are any number of yuri series that start off with supposed "blackmail" or some other kind of coercion but which turn into consensual romance, usually sooner rather than later, including several that end up being remarkably wholesome.

[...]

Since there's no Benign Blackmail tag, I don't know what tags would apply, but my feeling is that some version of "non-consent" isn't it.

I believe Blackmail as a tag already says more about the pre-/absence on consent than dubcon ever could, and unless there are separate dubcon elements on top of it, should suffice. It's essentialy a side-grade to dubcon.

As for Benign Blackmail, I think it's best to decide on a chapter-by-chapter basis to mark the early potentially objectionable content?
