several thoughts:

I'm so glad we finally got a chapter from Sumie's view. I wonder if we're sticking with her view, after the turning point of the breakup.

It would make sense, we were in Manatsu's viewpoint when she wasn't in control of the relationship. Now that she is going to be the driver, I reckon we'll see it from Sumie's perspective.

I still think Sumie's tutor probably used the same reward method for tutoring that Sumie herself used on Manatsu. It was very effective.

I wonder what Manatsu will think about Sumie's past, and if she finds out, I wonder if she'll have enough grace or awareness to know that despite Sumie's protests to the contrary, she was a child that was taken advantage of.

the fact that this didn't wrap up as neatly in three chapters as I thought it would three months ago, probably means we're getting another volume. and I wonder how much of it will be from Sumie's perspective.

Very nice cute story for a one-shot. At least the prince was not a jerk and choose to admit his defeat.

and yet, the prince part of the story was the most unsettling in tone.
It was the only part that had Shoujo flower framing, but it was also the part in which Bella acted least like herself. Even if he didn't kiss her, because kissing her would've meant certain death, he seemed perfectly happy to let her wilt away in his cage, so long as he can just watch her.

now that I've finally finished reading the manga, I am really looking forward to seeing how it's put on the sreen, because the tenth volume contains some meta narrative, where one of their friends makes a mockumentary about their life, and one of Ayano'a former students writes a story about the whole mess, while trying to understand it

Also, I'm going to slyly retract my previous opinion, because the fact that this story started out with the mess that it did is what makes it this unique story. It's a story about how messy life is. And I think it's beautiful.

given that volume one is on sale, with, I reckon the first five chapters, I'm gonna guess it'll be two double chapters for day six and seven, plus one closing chapter for the fallout / aftermath for volume two.

That volume release probably also explains the delay.
