I don’t even care if they call the Maldives Morubiju like one manga translation I saw from another group. I won’t say people are not allowed to complain - I would not want that sort of environment - but I do want to chip in my two cents that I am perfectly fine with the translation choices.

Thanks a ton for the translation again! I love how aggressive gay Seungha is getting with Chaeyeon. Alas, she is getting viewed with the confusion of her child self’s weird not-quite-so-gay teasing.

I wonder if she made the God awful meal on purpose, as to tease Chaeyeon... The silly gay bully she is.

I love the art, but I'm having a hard time enjoying their dynamic so far unfortunately. It feels a bit like someone that doesn't know how to say no and put up boundaries, and someone that knows how to take advantage of that... I know the intentions are mostly "tease my crush". But here's a certain frustrating weird roundaboutness to what's happening and some of it comes off as a bit mean spirited to me, even if it's not intentional.

I'm hoping things progress into a more organic relationship between them, where it feels like the power of the dynamic is balanced a little better in the future.

i agree, it does feel a bit much, almost cruel. before the plot became more established i even thought this might be some kind of revenge story or something. the role reversal doesn't quite work either since we've never really even seen the supposedly cool ladykiller chaeyeon. i kinda want seungha to get taken down a notch at this point.

art is still beautiful tho and i'm into the overall premise.

God, I can kind of see it both ways, like either Seungha knows exactly what she's doing, or she's nothing but good intentions and has no idea of the conflict inside Chaeyeon's head.

Either way though Chaeyeon is not having a great time being pulled rapidly in-between finding Seungha genuinely attractive and being reminded of her childhood bully with Seungha's every move.

I am provisionally liking this though, the story is leisurely taking its time so I'm certainly waiting to definitively see whether Seungha is doing this on purpose or not, and the aftermath of it, because that's when the story is going to get most interesting for me

Dunno, still feels creepy. Also, is it just me or is this story moving at slower than snail pace? It feels a little bit like one of those artsy movies which spends an obnoxiously long time with the camera focused on an actors face to show how "real" and "deep" the movie is...

Honestly, I don’t mind whether Seungha’s doing it on purpose or she’s just clumsy. If she’s doing it on purpose, then I’ll enjoy the spice. If she’s well-intentioned but clumsy, I’ll enjoy the sweetness of it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s some mix of both, though.

The translation we're using is the Japanese one as the Japanese version has more content. However, it was "Yuja" in the Japanese version, as well, meaning that to keep it as "Yuja" was a deliberate decision by Tima, so we stayed true to it.

Ah Shoot, that musta slipped past both our TL and QC. I'll have em look into it

Also, the other translation seems to be a double translation from Korean to Spanish to English and, though it's not terrible, it's also not that good, either.

This is basically a Nagori Yu story with upscale glamour art. And therefore hilarious.

Once Chaeyeon's facial anxiety drop turns into a definite ba-dump things will really start cooking. As it were.

(And it's a rule in Asian comics that bad cooks don't know they're bad cooks, at least not until somebody tastes their food.)

Tbh, Incest wouldn't be uncharacteristic for Tima. That said, I don't think I've ever read a yuri manhwa, manhua, webtoon, or any other webcomic with incest in it (other than maybe one with stepsisters and another with incestuous sexual assault). Considering the rarity of incest in the medium, just seems that the market demographic aren't really into that kinda stuff so it would be odd just from that standpoint

You need to read Mochi stuff.

Yeah, given that the Incest tag here has 33 pages of citations, not to mention 9 pages of Pseudo-incest (step siblings, etc.), and even a half page of Selfcest, I'd say that incest is a quite common yuri trope.

Cooking horrible-looking food it's charming in a character.

I'm leaning on her just being oblivious to how her actions are perceived instead of her just loving to bully Chaeyeon, but we'll see.

I think that's totally the point. It's extremely common for little boys to bully a girl they like to catch her attention, because they don't know better and don't realize it's likely to backfire. She was so much like a boy when she was a child, she even made that same mistake.
But it's not really a big problem, right? I mean it's okay for two future lovers to start off badly and then come to feel for each other despite the bad beginning and get together as the plot moves on. It's the storyline for like a zillion romance movies. Look at Chaeyeon's and Sengua's faces and body language, now they are adults, when the teasing game begins again: it's very evident they both realize the context and the meaning are different, their reactions tell that this time it's gay flirting and both understand it.

I totally agree with the gist of your argument—I think this series intends to be way fluffier than many people here have been taking it.

But I would note that we haven’t had very much substantial information from Chaeyeon’s POV yet except for a few ambiguous flashbacks, so her facial expressions and body language are carrying a lot of her characterization so far. So we don’t really know, yet, exactly how she understands Seungha’s teasing.

What we do know is that Chaeyeon hasn’t voiced any serious objections to Seungha’s shenanigans—sometimes readers seem to forget that characters who they see as “victims” theoretically have agency to say things like, “Please don’t,” or “Stop,” or “You’re making me uncomfortable.”

Different group! Not you guys. You’re doing great.

Side note for everyone else I am 99% sure that Seungha has only the best intentions as an adult here and the fact that she is a horrible cook plus their past history is confusing Chaeyeon who just can’t believe Seungha actually feels that way and thinks that, although she finds Seungha attractive, this must actually be some elaborate game. At the same time, she is clearly attracted and isn’t asking her to stop flirting.

And I don’t think Chaeyeon was ever a lady killer under the facade. The persona seems entirely for show, at least so far.

That's what I've been saying. I think Seungha is the type to tease people she likes, and to her, it's just a way to get their attention and express affection. But to Chaeyeon, she clearly doesn't like that and interprets it as bullying. It's interesting to see her struggle between her physical attraction to Seungha and her remembering her childhood of being teased by Seungha. I wonder how that tension point will build up later.

And I don’t think Chaeyeon was ever a lady killer under the facade. The persona seems entirely for show, at least so far.

Perhaps that's her stage persona. We'll probably see it in more detail in later chapters.

Honestly it's common/popular regardless of sexuality haha

Live Action Porn and Hentai, also none porn media, are constantly booming with incest related works that are het/gay/lesbian and so fourth. Live Action Porn usually uses "Step-Family" to be more legal I guess, but it's extremely popular.
