Anyways, not gonna lie, I was really sad for Serina for a sec, until I remembered the girl was (1) unhinged (but, like, in a good? way) and (2) down horrendous. She wasn't gonna go down without a fight, and definitely not just disappear. It does seem she'll still be around, which I'm pretty happy for. I don't know with the talks about end-game and all that we're even in there, to be honest, so for the time being I just like the sexy gay shit. Gotta say, though, I'm in the camp that can't really envision anything that isn't a harem/poly type thing. The One Top to Rule Them All type shit. Wait, I thought the whole point of the story is about Asumi chasing Mai...
In Urusei Yatsura, Ataru was confronted with his harem desire and skirt chasing. He replied that having all the girls are great, but without Lum the whole thing, including all the girls, would be pointless.

So I believe the author will somehow start to develop Mai to reach that conclusion. I believe the author would design something that makes Mai uniquely special so that the harem will work perfectly fine.
