Foinally. The Dynasty title says [END] but the 2nd to last page says to keep our eyes out for "the final volume." Does that mean there is more of them together? I doubt it, but double checking.

I'm in the same boat of believing that Hiromi (onee-san) actually wants to be with Meguru, whether romantically or as best friends. She kept bringing up their father as a source for her actions, meaning they are not self-guided decisions. Instead of inter alizing those actions, she still views them as someone else's commanda over her. She doesn't want to get married but is doing it in order to see Meguru again within their father's jurisdiction. In other words, stating "this is what father wants" = Not saying "this is what I want." In addition, she kept reminding Meguru "I hope you'll understand this is the right thing" and no mention of what Hiromi wants. She never stated her disapproval of the old ways, and she never even said she loved the man or really wanted to marry him. All I'm saying is, there is room for interpretation.
Although, I do question Hiromi's intentions and true feelings. In ch.16 she never told Meguru she didn't want to do that stuff, just that it was wrong. But then she reported everything to their father, I guess, because she felt responsible and guilty as the older sibling?
Also, Kasane, get your head out your ass and don't act exactly like Onee-san! Gonna end up retraumatizing poor Meguru.

Siiick. I was waiting for Yakou to recognize Meguru's name. Azuki says "hands off my Meguru!" in ch.1 when she's hiding in the closet but Yakou doesn't seem to clock it yet that it is her sister's name. The speed of these events unfolding can either mean we are halfway through to a short end, or there is a looot more juicy repressed trauma to dredge. Either way, consider me buckled.

Sal Jiang is such an amazing artist! I first admired their work in Ayaka Is In Love With Hiroko-Senpai and the intensely animated and emptional facework. Great use of perspective and shading. Beautiful plot AND beautiul art?!

I hope that the other girl's investigations are supportive of Misa and don't mess up Misa's life. Like, what if she was just a concerned friend who ended up giving Misa a shoulder to lean on? Ah, optimism.... gets me nowhere lol. Probably gonna witness some crazy blow up between Misa and Hase. I wonder how Io is going to get Hase out of her house, or trick her in order to sneak out.

Apologies for the delay on getting this out, I had a fall a few weeks ago and hurt my hip and tailbone badly enough that I've had a hard time sitting long enough to do the SFX cleaning on this. On the mend now, so hopefully we'll have chapter 13 out in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, this chapter did a great job building a sense of dread for the coming story arc...

Just finished reading all this. I misread it at first and here's how I thought the final chapter went.... Hina panics from the emotional torment and gives up moments before Airi dies, so Airi is actually still alive but passed out from lack of oxygen. Hina decides to save them and go back home, or even just run away and get help. (Chilling that Hina got Airi dressed at this point). She carries them away but trips and falls, and in both of their exhaustion, neither can get up, and freeze to death. I saw them covered in snow and "fin" and was sooo shocked....
I reread the final chapter and actually felt sick to my stomach, reminded of all their puking and grotesque love and how sad I was for them. It pained me so much, I felt sick and cried. I wanted so badly for them to just go home, or ask their parents to attend a different school, but I know it couldn't have ended that way. As someone who was suicida1 in my teen years, it feels like the author reached into my past to pull ideas from a depressed anxious kid's mind. Hina's desperation to do anything for love, even harm someone. Airi's desire to feel eternal, like death is the only answer since nothing could trump their current situation/ship. Wow. Even the side character, Ichika -- so many of us are just desperate to feel something and do crazy things to justify it. At one point I felt sympathy for glasses-bltch because I, too, staked a childhood friendship on whether or not they noticed my private suffering. I was 7 and ended a friendship over essentially nothing. My point is, this series really made me feel things.

THEN after I finished the finale, I immediately read the extras of the other girls' perspective and that's when I accepted they died like WHAAAAT THE F ouch. As others have noted, more chapters on the others in town reacting to the news would be nice but it's best to just imagine. They weren't the focus anyway. This story was hot and fast, like their lives. Crazy twist and turn with part 1 of Airi abuser, part 2 of shitshow ostracized girls, part 3 of Hina abuser, then their one and only plan failing quickly. Teenagers. Ugh. Depressing. They were too young and anxious to solve their problems.
Then I read the beach scene and cried again. Realizing why they tried to die at the beach, and why Hina dreamed of them at the beach in the delusion. It's so bitter. Every turn if this story had me questioning why I was reading, but was continuously drawn in with honest and brutal storytelling. No page unturned.

Happy Yuri New Year 2025! I just read through from beginning to ch.300 in about a month. Never thought I'd love this so much! I love how silly everyone can be and we get to see so much inner monologue. I really appreciate how Kishi honed their art style over the years. The beginning has such a different style looking back and bluntly delivered fan-service. We've come so far with our girls. I literally cried thinking about Honoka sending her manuscript. YuuMari and Nao-chan give me butterflies and I kick my feet for Nonono-senpai. I was so shocked by MayoMayo's turnaround confession and booty grab. Plus Ai and Chie are precious! Finally ffs. Although it does feel like the series got axed. I really liked this story, but the sudden pace change from ch 25 to ch 27 is jarring. The story progressed at a snail's pace until the end and in 1 chapter and zoo visit, Minami decided to finally speak her truth? Just feels out of the blue for her character. However, I still really liked this story and the cuteness between them. I liked thinking it was one-sided for awhile only to find out Yuzu feels that way too. I realized I was a lesbian in middle school and watched many of my friends, including myself, shy away from their feelings because of internalized homophobia, being closeted, or fearing what our friends might think if they found out. We played things very cautiously as sometimes it did ruin friendships - that fear was real and scary. I really hope it works out for them!

Made me cry onto my toast. Thanks for the beautiful story of (seemingly) platonic love. As someone who struggled with tendencies in my youth, I could have used these reminders that people at least wanted me to be at peace.

Definitely curious to see how this plays out. It seems like the author is teasing at more deep conversations that could be had between Meguru and Azuki in the future. Seems everyone has some deep rooted traumas to uncover. Perhaps Azuki doesnt love Meguru and has attached to that idea to cope with abandonment (she was her only friend before becoming her girlfriend after all).

Cant wait for more. These characters are both way more forward than the spoiled Yoroizuka-san and good girl. Nice to see some action happening at a faster pace with all the same shyness. But now it'a the younger girl who doesn't know how to act.
