My main question was how she was allowed to wander over and spend time with a nobody at the club in the first place. Did she just have a whim, a strong type, or did she recognize her from their past.

My guess is she wants something genuine, felt or observed it from Shiori at the club and also might know Shiori or knows about her from somewhere. Maybe both. Who knows. Either way I am liking her gentle and accepting personality so far, and all in for more puppy girl reps in Yuri.

That's my impression, too. Miyu seems to find joy in whatever people around her are doing (which explain how she became top hostess) and Shiori attracts her with her earnestness -- it is very relaxing to empathize with a person who already wears their heart on their sleeve.

I think you're probably on the money in general here, and I also think our awkward and earnest overworker is more attractive than she realizes. (Hopefully this relationship builds her self confidence)

It's always interesting to find a manga about a manga editor, though this one doesn't seem like it's going to focus that much on Shiori's career. I'm interested regardless; Shiori is an incredibly entertaining disaster and Miyu is gonna be fun to see in action for all the reasons you guys described above.

Huh, pretty decent and somewhat interesting start to this first chapter. Decent structure and starting line of this manga so far.

The MC...I am not even mad but I am shaking my head in disbelief at how MC had just casually gave the complete control of the situation and the other girl the rope to tie around MC's neck...or in this case...The dog collar....Though I am not mad or annoyed considering Miya doesn't give off arrogant smug bratty vibes thankfully, be fine with MC being to bottom instead of the Top in this case.

3 million yen...19,000 USD clothing huh...I know money/currency is just a somewhat made up social construct and substitute item to represent 'resources' (There is basically over 100 to 1000+ trillion worth of resources on earth afterall...the issue is harvesting those resources and distributing it correctly) but 3 million yen for her clothing...Either her clothes well made by a famous designer and made out of a rare exotic animal (Rare endanger white alligator spawn or something) then if not the case then she obviously got ripped off for what she paid for or she casually lying...I say the true real price would be at most maybe 3000-5000 dollars at 'most' if made of really expensive materials but like I said, some items can be overpriced though...

...Yeah the prices of things sometimes made senses...while other times they are just overpriced and overrated due to social symbols/status symbols like 2000-4000+ dollar purse even though the material and time to make said purse would only cost maybe about 500-1000 dollars at most...
(Though there is the chance that the Author probably perhaps didn't think too hard on the price number and just casually picked a random high number to justified the starting relationship of MC trying to pay Miyu back)...

I think there is a tiny bit of loneliness aspect like other people had pointed out and guessed but what other possible motives or angles could there be hmmm (be funny if Miyu actually knew MC in the past like a couple people suggested but seems unlikely) XD
