I like the author. But this story (which is already finished with 1 volume) I didn't like it much, to be honest. I look forward to her next project.

I like this author, but I was expecting something different. Its just too many clichés at once. I'll keep reading just to kill some time.

In the end, Komaki tells Wakaba that she loves her, that she always loved her, and blah blah blah. Wakaba doesn't know if what she feels for her is love, but she still keeps Komaki as her "lover." End.

Not even sure there'll be any actual romance. We had to wait the very last chapter of Maitsuki for a kiss.

Yodokawa's yuri is always very subtexty.

It doesn't have to take the form a kiss to have romance. There were plenty of it in Maitsuki, the story was mostly about it. Just because Yodokawa is discreet in showing display of affection, doesn't mean there isn't an actual romance going on.

As for the new title, not sure what to think about it yet. I'll follow along to see where it goes!

What a coincidence—I came here to ask: is the classic gyaru look(s) really still a thing among teenagers in Japan? It’s a ubiquitous “type” in manga, of course, but many online discussions of the trope talk about it as if it’s mostly a thing of the past in real life.

I agree that, visual trope-wise, they’re pretty much a bunch of cuties.
