This chapter felt very campy in a fun way, it's also interesting how Asumi really has been forging real connections with all these women over the course of the series.
Personally, it feels like Asumi's end game here is getting closer to joining the ranks of sex workers herself, rather than ending up with any one person.

Could be.
There's still something in it for me in the brothel visits being a "treat" which Asumi works hard in her dayjob to splurge on. If she just comes to a realization that she can get as much fun sex as she can handle and get paid for it (and if all her romantic drama is solved simply by wrapping her acquaintances into a harem,) that could be a sugary-sweet final sequence but I feel it'd sap some fun out of the journey to end up with no road ahead. In this world, there's already no consequence to sexual tallying outside the cost, there's never been a bad experience or even a mismatch of energies, the only painful emotions involved are anxiety and longing... I mean, it's a lovely fantasy and one that maybe our wound-up world could learn a bit from, but I do believe the few impositions of reality make this a better book.

I think that kind of cements Nanao's status as a fwb and not a love interest, though the fact that Asumi tries to solve all her problems with sex also means she's prob not gonna be exclusive even if she ends up dating Mai

Nanao got mentioned in this recent chapter. I'm glad Asumi realized this was a bad karma to call on Nanao for the wrong reason, but that relationship is still getting backburnered rather than resolved or explored , and I hope the story doesn't just taper off with the FWB accepting her role on the road to an OTP. She deserves her own storyline.

While I don't think the story sets Nanao to have that ending mentioned above of "Why not join the brothel if you love love so much?", I'd almost rather that for her than Asumi, and I think there's actually story potential in not that but something like that. At one time, i thought Nanao could have had an ending where Asumi was just the start of her sexual journey.

If Nanao had realized (or still could realize?) that Asumi was just one type of many types of love to experience, that she could learn more and give more by getting out there, that the whole world was waiting for her to explore and make time with... that'd not only be my preferred ending for her character, it's be my ideal spinoff. Same morally unfettered relations, same variety of beauty, same puzzle -unlocking storytelling in the sex scenes, but from the perspective of a different type of girl, on the road, finding herself and learning love by doing.

I've been meaning to pick up the print...but it looks like various volumes are out in a lot of places. Does anyone have any good solutions? Seven Seas really goes out and never seems to get volumes back, it's frustrating.
