This was alright. Feels like something that would play better binged than following as it released.

Disappointing because I would have liked to see more of their relationship.

Been here since chapter 1, it's actually amazing that the author dragged this out for 3 years.
Can confidently say that I will not be re-reading this.

Actually made me mad asf that they were acting like chapter 25 did not exist at all holy shit you guys were less than an inch away from kissing and still pull this "I thought u didnt like me/didnt want to kiss me" bs. They really had no progress for 27 chapters and then shoved it all into the last one like just read that one and call it a day

The order of the pages is messed up in chapter 1

It’s like letting a held breath go

It’s finally over

That holding pattern really didn’t enhance the payoff at all for me

I stopped bothering to read this a few chapters ago.
Only picked it up again because of the [END] tag.
Thank god it is over, but even in the final chapter it didn't stop being frustrating to read.
Good riddance.

As cute as the artstyle is... this was the worst case of progression disorder I have ever seen.

I love the art, but I'm not revisiting this either. To draw out everything so a painfully thin line, only to shove everything at once.

This is a 4/10. Easily the worst yuri I've read so far.

Well it's finally over.

Honestly the last half of the chapter makes me even more disappointed that the author spent so much effort blue balling us for nothing, could have played out the gimmick an appropriate amount and then just dropped like 10 chapters of them being together and it would have been like a 7-8/10 manga probably. As is it's mostly deeply frustrating after the first half.

I think this series has shown what not to do when the main point is going to be a succession of misunderstandings to be resolved before ending on this relationship, the majority of dramas end up becoming too simple, and too forced...
Fortunately, the artstyle is really nice and cute, it almost carries the whole piece.

A little disappointed not to have had two-three pages with their families, given that they get along so well, I think it could have been cool to do.

It just feels so antiquated. And it's not just the confession at the end, the entire "hijinks" aspect of delaying them figuring out their feelings for each other feels so old to me now. Like, how does this still sell? How are there still audiences for this?

I mean, are you sure that it did sell? This whole final volume has had "whoops we just got axed" written all over it.

I'm using sell loosely here. I mean in the sense that the author and editor at some point have agreed that they have to delay this as much as possible, which at some point is a decision about what will sell, even if it ultimately did not end up working.

If I had to guess, unless the editor and the author overestimated the patience of the viewers, it feels like they were building up to Minami giving up after being rejected, and Yuzu coming to terms with her own feelings and realizing that she can’t nor does she want to stay “just friends” with Minami, and confesses to her, that way both of them actually “put in the work” for their relationship

Yeah, it totally felt rushed.

After thinking about it for a bit, I really don’t like- dare I say, hats— how Mnami blames herself for it taking so long for them to get together, when it’s not her fault— it’s not, “all her fault”, I’d go as far as saying she doesn’t have any fault.

They were in grade school, maybe it’s cuz I can’t relate, but I don’t see how getting friendzoned one time would make you so blind to see that your crush is into you + by Yuzu’s logic, Minami should’ve given up cuz she friend zoned her as well. Yuzu is fr a coward and Minami carried their relationship on her back

I agree with those saying the wrap-up is too pat, but I'm surr that comes down to me being in the minority who was into the central concept of this idiot couple story and wouldn't have minded an extra volume. Clearly the result of a need to end the series quickly, presumably because the cries of "how is there no progress" was the voice of the mainstream reader of the story.

A shame if only because the conclusion had so little room to breathe

I didn't hate it enough to drop it, but this manga was awful. Drawnout, repetitive, forgetful. That confession is one of the worst, "i thought you didn't like me"? Girl, are you blind?

That payoff with all friends celebrating feels like the cheesiest and fakest thing in the world lmao, I don't know why, maybe because the author didn't even give enough of a shit to write dialogue for this...

... and yeah in retrospect the writing in this was really bad. Every time something happened that made me think that this was clever, or funny (even if most of this comment section hated it), the author proved to me the very next moment that it was probably completely coincidental. This had almost no continuity to speak of.

As someone that didn't read the manga all the way through: Finale was hecking cute.

...But sounds like it was spinning its tires for a long time? Yeah, I can understand why the general reaction is disappointment and exhaustion. Guess I got lucky not noticing this existed until just now.

Man is it mean to say I don’t feel anything? Reading this series was like pulling teeth because of Yuzu. Minami put in all of the work to get this far and the conclusion is it’s HER fault because she “””””””freindzoned”””””””” Yuzu in GRADE SCHOOL? Man thank god it’s over lmao
