I know, I know: it's not exactly the case per formula... but it's well close enough. Kon had finally gotten to convey her feelings to Ai, and the two were getting closer in a way that could potentially make Ai finally let go of her bug for Kaede... and right then, BAM: look who had been hiding under the surface and chose that very instant to re-emerge!

As someone whose always been slow to understand things and struggles with basically being stupid my whole life . I really relate this this character
I wish we got more characters like this who aren't just there for comedy . I find myself rereading this so much because kon makes me feel like finally someone gets it . Those conversations with her mother I had those . The isolations and not quite getting normal things . I get those .

Yeah.

So obviously the husband only gives his side of the story and there's no real way to know what Kaede is actually thinking here. But Tooyama sure has been getting played in a kind of disgusting way regardless, being hounded by a man "asking for compensation" because he couldn't figure out a way of talking to her that wouldn't make her think her life is ruined.

On top of that Tooyama has returned to the beach and Kone, is gone. Missing the woman she loves once more, though the woman in question seems to have been swapped out for another.

Not sure how much of the husband's story I can believe here. He might be as delusional as Ai is when it comes to his wife. That's assuming he's not abusive and manipulative.

Kaede sending the same picture to both Ai and her husband is very strange. I have no idea what she's trying to accomplish here.
