She was trying to say “Koga-san,” but was so overwhelmed that she stuttered and it came out like the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound chickens (specifically roosters) make.

I do wonder where the story is going to go narratively, now that Mitsuki has pretty much completed her major character arc. If actual full out romance is out the window, then the next arc would be getting Mitsuki to do a big live performance of her music I guess.

I definitely wouldn't say it's out the window, but if there's ever a time to go more heavy into romantic development this seems like the moment. We'll get a clearer idea starting next week. It does feel like the end of an arc without a super clear idea of where we go from here. I'm excited to see where she takes it, since it's pretty open.

Ah, looks like it wasn't actually physically there. It was one of the "mental" notes she was cramming onto herself in her panic attack. Crumpling it up to show how she's going to just be herself now, no more false image to protect herself.

They're both so precious and I love them so much! Mitsuki's development has been so satisfying in the last few chapters. Aya has been so supportive and Mitsuki is coming to terms with what that really means to her. This hug is an undeniable physical gesture of affection between the two of them that I think signals a change in their relationship, especially when paired with Mitsuki internally acknowledging Aya's love for the first time since Aya discovered her true identity.

So lovely. I had to go back and re-read the last few chapters to get the whole situation in one blast.

What a good story. No matter what happens next, I want to believe that it's just going to be a good story.
I purposely haven't read this in over a year. And now I'm stopping here. Yeah, it's still a logical point, not the middle of an arc. But damn... This is why I hate ongoings. But I love this thing.
