It feels like it flows better than a serialized series when it becomes like this. It flows better and it doesn't put lrots of drama to extend serialization or i am just dumb. Either way it's cute cute cute and gay gay gay

god forbid women sign a lease >:(

It's interesting that they're bringing up same-sex couples (or at least two women) being discriminated against. In Kindred Spirits on the Roof, Miyu is looking forward to being able to move out and live with her girlfriend Matsuri in an apartment for college, under the pretext of it being safer for two women to live together. Miyu is the type to think things through and is disciplined and cautious to a fault, but she never considers having trouble getting an apartment with a female roommate.

Part of it is probably because of different expectations from everyone involved: getting an apartment at college age you're probably going for landlords who specifically rent out to college students, in which case two women living together is seen as a very safe bet comparatively. When you're out of college, I would guess you run into the same problem with landlords as many women do with employers: they expect you to find a guy and marry, and thus have a harder time, whether it's with getting a promotion (or a full-time position) or a long-term lease.

I wonder if it would help to be out as a couple. Hurt more by discrimination against gays, or helped more by "we're not friends waiting for husbands, we're together"?

although there was some good communication here, not everything that could've been said was, and this means that the door has been left wide open... for future chapters :D

Good point. That explains a lot.

I'm concerned about their problem coming at the same time.
It's not that difficult to hug and kiss and finger each other down there—and come both at the same time. Or, if you wanna use your tongues no matter what, a 69 position.

If they really don't know about these simple things, they need to watch some lesbian porn instead of whatever romantic blockbuster they were watching.

seems like the author just doesn't know much about lesbian sex IMO... it comes across like the characters think that what they're doing is the ONLY way that two women can have sex...and therefore the author believes that as well.

I'm glad I'm dense so this specific kind of relationship drama would never happen to me.

I'm jinxing myself on purpose, don't worry about it

Im not sure what I find more aggravating, businesses judging women based on age old gender stereotypes, or that it probably still makes good business sense to do so.

So even the fact they’re full time hires at a company still make them a financial liability, simply bc they’re both women???

Yup, statistically the vast majority of those cases are friends who move out when one gets married or issues arise. Japan is still very anti working women in general, it's extremely difficult for a woman to succeed and they are just expected to marry and be a housewife instead, no matter how successful they are or could be. So for a company that wants a stable constant tenet, they're highly likely to not be. Of course that's not fair but it makes sense a business would not want to risk it.

And we haven't even mentioned just how bloody expensive the cost of living is in Japan, and then the Japanese government wonders why the birth rates are low.

Even the horniest couple getting their Dues Vult on in the bedroom knows that it's too costly to get a child with only one parent working, and both working won't be enough to cover the cost of getting someone to help, let alone the child being alone.

If the two working unmarried women who wish to live together in the same rental can't even get spot, how would anyone struggling with a family cope?...

Well, one answer was something me friend told me,the whole family living in a space no larger then a somewhat average living room.

It's also not just that.

Some just outright don't rent to same-sex couples, unofficially. They'll give those excuses like finances to cover it up, but they may already have old tenants who are homophobic and would raise a ruckus if their neighbors are suddenly just gay.
