Somehow Nakano having shared naked pictures of her makes this so much worse. It was an active turn off for me from the chapter.

Nakano has been pressuring Miyako into sex since the very first chapter. She started pimping her out, without permission, in chapter 3. She's been consistently characterized as a bad person and Doumyou is literally 100% in the right for trying to stop her.

(This isn't a criticism of the manga, I'm pretty sure this was the intended audience reaction.)

I'm not saying I thought Nakano was a good person before, but I could see the weird, messed up, hentai logic of Nakano doing something that is good for Miyako in pimping her out. Miyako needs the money and Nakano is giving her the push needed. It's still highly messed up, don't get me wrong, but Miyako ultimately still has a choice in whether she engages with these people. Nakano is obviously highly coercive and in any realistic setting everything she's done amounts to some type of abuse, but in hentai logic I can squeeze my eyes and ignore it.

Sharing her nudes has no logic in which it would be ok. Miyako has no choice involved in that at all. I think that's why it strikes me as different.

That's a good point, that Miyako did ultimately choose to fuck her clients while she never consented to have her nudes shared (and indeed clearly dislikes it). In that sense Nakano's behavior is escalating. Though there is hentai logic that could "justify" it, and I imagine Nakano will deploy it in a future chapter ("You shouldn't be ashamed of your body"; "I just want people to know how beautiful you are"...maybe it's not a good thing I can come up with those on the spot lol).

Yup. Don't like Nakano.
I mean I never liked her to begin with, but these bad things she's doing are really escalating into something awful.

I think there's a small mistake in page 19 last panel.

FIFY. Imo this is more reasonable.

Sayama is def my favorite. I love the horny little introvert.. Also what she actually streaming while they were having sex!? It showed her Mic there and she was either streaming or recording right?..

Also Doumyou gonna be the next one to enjoy Miyako's services...

And yeah I've not liked Nakano from the very start of this series. She basically forced/talked Miyako into doing this in the first place knowing she was hard up for money and it's just escalated very badly from there. The giving out naked pictures of her to potential clients is gross as shit and that needs to stop ASAP.

I also will die on this hill that I Don't think this is a harem at all. So far everyone has been one and done. Miyako is just becoming a hooker with a heart of gold that was manipulated into doing this by a super scummy person.

The plot is turning out well, imho. Where did the embezzled money go? I think it’s obvious, so I’m interested in seeing the fallout. The sex scenes are icing on the cake for this manga.

Are you guys really surprised that Nakano has no shame? My reaction was more like: "ohh, figures"

She's gonna have sex with the journalist next isn't she... I do hope Nakano gets what's coming to her though. Sharing pics without permission is obviously not cool, and that just compounds with all the other dubious consent moments

Honestly, I don't even treat Nakano as a character by this point. Merely the contrivance that set the plot's goings in motion. Other than that, I'm simply here for said plot. Practically skipping pages with her, really.

On a general level, I've pretty much realized that with this author's works the prime modus operandi is turn off brain enjoy bob and vagene. Like, Younger Senpai was not a literary masterpiece to say the least, you know.

On the chapter itself, I'm a big fan of the ravenous introvert, so thumbs up from this one. I expect reporter lady to, aside from obviously being next... uhh... customer? Partner? You know, it does feel kinda icky to discuss this story compared to something like Asumi-chan, but yeah... Anyways, I expect her to have a feisty facade that eventually completely melts, and I'm a huge sucker for this shit.

I think that's what's throwing me off a bit too. I'm not bothered by the prostitution angle, but Asumi-chan really found an arguably wholesome angle to it, and this one went the opposite way. I don't mind scummy characters either (Scum's Wish is one of my favorite manga), but it's the scumminess of the characters along with the romcom vibe that is throwing me off. So it's this combination that is making it hard for me to know how to react.

I don't even think it's arguable, Asumi-chan in my eyes is pretty much a wholesome story, definitely far more than this one. Especially in the scumminess front, Asumi's senpai has done some less than favorable things herself (I'd say most egregious was her getting a copy of the pics from the photoshoot on chapter 3), but was otherwise supportive and encouraging (pushy in the good sense of the term, something like that) while still being respectful. This balance doesn't exist in this story.

I think Asumi-chan makes more sense, too. I mean, it's a pretty low-probability plot, but it has an internal logic that someone somewhere might actually engage in.

Younger Senpai and this one are, I feel, more outside the envelope of sensible behavior. Like, even taking a premise of super-horny girls, they don't really 'work'. Asumi is "I can believe these people would do this" while the other works are "yeah, this is a porn plot, roll with it".

I'm not complaining, but it does push them out of the running for Great Work, IMO.

(Possibly Asumi-chan is just fooling me -- but even being able to pull that off is an artistic merit.)

Asumi-chan is legitimately well written and super compelling. This is literally just porn. I know theres been a huge boom in sex work yuri after the success of Asumi-chan but very few of these series actually deliver on character writing and plot like Asumi-chan does.

This series is literally just porn, and the story and character writing only exists as a vehicle to get our protag from one sex scene to the next.

I'm interested in seeing what happens with this reporter. Conventional logic dictates that she'll be next in line to get Miyako's services, but it would be interesting if the overall plot involved her efforts to take down Nakano, with Miyako getting caught up in the middle.

i did enjoy that Younger Senpai didnt go with the cliches all the commenters wanted it to go with

as for Nakano it really is pretty straightforward, she is shameless, a bad influence, and helpfull. The vibes is get from Dynasty comments these days is that a lot of people crave "Healthy Environments" for their sexy stuff, But a lot of these writers dont care about having an inherintly healthy environment as long as the characters dont experiance anything unpleasant.

An example is when one character is being pushy about wanting to do it and another is like "im not in the mood atm" and the first character keeps on pushing until they are doing it and the second character ultimately goes "ahh fuck it, i like it". Some commenters calls that unconcencual and/or a bad way to adress concent even though that is a realistic variant of concent, go see "cutie beast" for a proper example of rape through lack of concent.

a lot of focus on how bad things could be rather than how bad it is.
Feel free to puplicly execute me now.

I do think you're right that in general there is a push for more consensual stuff regardless of context, but I also think context matters. In a serious story questionable actions are taken seriously. When it has a more comedic vibe questionable actions feel more normalized which weirds me out.

While I personally am quite enjoying this series and think that Nakano being basically a villain protagonist (or deuteragonist) adds a certain extra spice that makes it kind of unique, that is 100% a matter of taste. I don't think anyone should be criticized for not wanting to read hentai where the protagonist is repeatedly manipulated into having sex (and of course no one should be criticized for liking this stuff in a strictly fictional context either).

I feel the complete opposite. When the story doesn't take itself seriously, why should I take it seriously? The comedic slant makes the questionable actions, in the context of this story with these characters, not something negative or harmful. Else, the author would have focused more on the harm these actions are causing. Since harm is not shown, I assume that no harm is done. In the end, this story is fictional. That's not saying that the questionable actions are good, just that since the actions are questionable context is required and this story already provides this context.

With respect to normalizing behaviors, I honestly can't see how comedic vibes normalize what's happening when it's fiction. But then again, some people can't understand the difference between fiction and reality so... For those who don't understand: hentai logic =/= real world logic.

Chapter 3 is hysterical, the comparison between superchatting a vtuber and paying for a prostitute is... really something

Actually, this one is full of social commentary. It's a genuine satirical comedy. MYS was meant to be a story with comedy in it, but the situation, acted out pretty realistically, was the main topic. In this one, the story's there, but the comedy and the sexy drawings are the main point.

I think this author is more serious about storytelling than, say, Mira, who's also mainly known for Lots of Sex

It's interesting the poor pushover girl looks just like the MC from My Younger Senpai. Maybe this is how she would have developed normally without her obsessive love of sempai.

Plot twist: "Nakano Yui" is really her from an alternate dimension. Or her shy, diligent friend that always desired her and wanted to cut loose.

The characters in My Younger Senpai had their issues, but in the end, you were rooting for them. Not sure that ends up being true here.

Yui, in particular, is like the spoiled, rich womanizer guy from an otome game.

Also, I enjoyed MYS both as comedy and as a story. I don't think the older kouhai's behaviour was so implausible, it was just not cleaned up by the Hayes Code [US reference].

My favorite moment was when Nakano said "it's pimping time" and pimped all over those girls. Definitely one of the manga of all time
