I swear to god I get she's afraid of the system screwing everything up and it will 100% attempt to do so during this festival it's been mentioned a few times now that it hasn't shown up since future Elsa (or we still don't actually know who this is but it's gotta be right?) swapped it so she didn't have to do something awful. And Evie didn't even protest it and said without doubt that Elsa knew the answer to that question. Does something like that happens in the novels ? These Chinese works always make me fearful of them remaining subtext due to censorship laws and whatnot

Maybe they are just not translated, but I actually haven't seen a Chinese ( or Korean) subtext series. I feel subtext Yuri is mostly a thing with manga, while GL manhua and manhwa are much more to the point with little ambiguity.

Come to think of it, subtlety of any sort isn't something I remember seeing a lot of in Chinese series . . .

I don't think there's any emotion pulling at all here. There's no way you can look at this page and take it seriously, right? It would defeat literally the entire point of the story if after 50 chapters the conclusion to their romance arc was "Elsa drugs Evie". I'd wager this is either setting up an internal dilemma for Elsa, or Hijinks™.

A love potion. Was not expecting that. TBH she doesn't need it as they both have feelings for each other it's just not fully understood yet for the both of them so I hope it's actually just snake oil and coloured water so she looks like a jackass if she tries it. I always love in stories when they try love potions and it's just a complete hoax.
