I think people here are to harsh on her though, she's certainly not a great person, but growing up in what seems to be like a pretty invalidating high-pressure home environment, I kinda sympathise with her

Wow the MC is pretty stupid or a least really unmotivated. TBH i don't think she's going to blackmail the teacher that bad as she probably won't think of how. I am guessing how she is going to blackmail her is just get her to teach her in cram school so that she can get her grades which isn't really blackmail because thats her job.

Wow! You just don't get how this MC thinks. She is FAR TOO LAZY to blackmail anyone! If she meets even a hint of resistance, or work, she just folds immediately.

I think this will be about making her a better person, who thinks about others.

I'm surprised I never heard before of these two authors, 007 Uiro and Ko Suzume. This series is their only title in the archive. I searched for a bit and, not only I couldn't find anything else by them, turns out they aren't even listed in Baka-U. Is this manga, like, a spectacularly amazeballs debut work or something? O_o

I'll second that. There was a time when Neeko had hopes for the future back in elementary school and was nice enough to reach out to Uri, back before being rejected for jobs traumatized her.

As for the main character here, she seems almost comedically hopeless, so while I hope that she ends up getting positive character development, I'm not sure how to give it to her in a way that won't end up being contrived.

My theory is that because yuri (as a narrative genre -- not talking about yuri porn here) has historically struggled with the topic of sexuality (probably because, as we all know, sexuality is an exclusively male phenomenon in Japan /s), stories that put sex work front and center clear that gap by default, letting the authors just tell their stories without going through the "required" motions of "but we are both girls!" and "how do two women even do it?" It's amazing how much creativity is freed up when you just adopt the basic framework that some women do have sex with other women and build on top of it.

I think you all are way to harsh on the MC here. She's grown up in a high pressure environment, being constantly reminded of how her sister is superior to her in any way. For her to become like this is kind of natural, a coping mechanism. In this sense, she and Neeko are alike, they both developed unhealthy coping mechanisms of avoiding failure.
The difference is just the genre of manga they both inhabit, with this MC's trauma played for laughs in a comedy, whilst Neeko is presented in a more sympathetic way.

I can understand why the mc has that kind of personality. Sometimes expectations from parents on their child too high that it will be a burden to their child. Especially even from the chapter 1, her parents have been comparing her to her sister which is hurt her feelings. As result she is finding a way to release her stresses and becoming useless is one way of her to react to those burdens. I hope this will be a sweet story for her though.

New male character introduced. Putting bet on actually a girl crossdressing.

Also, title doesn't seem to accurate. Girl actually does not want to blackmail and just wants to keep the status quo. Selfish reasons behind it but not exactly scummy.
