The only thing im confused about is page 1-2 - why is it obvious they are not her parents when either of them coulda given birth to her?

Actually on Mangadex translator (I think) mentioned the similarity, but considering other work gives no names and there's no mention of them having a kid there, it's unclear w/e it's side-story/spin-off or if author just used very similar designs for parents.

I think it's working on assumption that 2 women can't have kids and ignores other options. I wouldn't think too deep about it.

I like the looks the moms give when she says it's for a friend.

When she said she was asking for a friend, I started imagining what it would be like if she actually was asking for her friend, and she was the one confessing, and just went up to her friend the next day while she is trying to figure out how to respond and gave her the advice that her parents came up with.

This is too precious.

This is one of my favorite one shots, just because stories about WLW couples raising a kid are few and far between. We need more stories like this!

On Mangadex there was also translation note in description, which not sure where put here, that word home in Japanese, can mean both home and family, so you could understand title as "In a Family Where Lilies Bloom" and last sentence would be "Welcome to our family".

The word in the title and last sentence is 我が家 (wagaya) which means both one's home and one's family.

There is so much that I like about this oneshot, but having a scene where adoptive parents actually discuss their adoption with their kid and it's treated as important, but not earth shattering, will always be near the top of my list. Also, all of their reactions felt very real to me.
